Must try their Sweet Potato fry's! They also have a fairly good meatloaf.

We summer in Flagstaff from Phoenix.

Another great spot, except for coffee, is across the street at Macy's.

A point so history - - The building that Beaver Street Brewery is located in used to be a neighborhood grocery market.

Lastly, if you are a fan of Mexican breakfasts, and know Chilequiles, then you absolutely must, And I mean absolutely must, go to MartAnnes. It will change your life.

Cool place located in the downtown Flagstaff area. James our server did an awesome job .

Beer selection on tap was limited to Lumberjack offerings. Did not ask about the bottle selection. Nothing noted on the menu.

The Beaver St burger was very tasty, although came as medium rare rather than medium as ordered. The missus order the pretzel w/cream cheese and spicy mustard sauces. She wasn't over-thrilled. The bread pudding w/chocolate sauce was delicious!

Good value for the money and would return AFTER trying the other brewpubs in town.

Located just across the main Hwy from downtown Flagstaff, this is a medium sized place with a pretty standard brewpub atmosphere. They are apparently related to Lumberyard brewing company down the street and seem to have much of the same beer selection. This means they have some of the best beer in the area and everything that I had at Beaver Street was good.

Service was good enough, our bartender seemed to be under training but the place was mostly empty so everything worked out fine there. The beer selection was good with a larger selection than one would expect to find at most well established brewpubs and they even had some of their limited release beers available in bottles to take home.

I've made two visits to Beaver Street over the course of ~10 years. The first was a nightcap for a single pint. This time around, I stopped in with my wife and 10-month-old daughter after a day at the Grand Canyon (around 4:30 on a Wednesday).

Octoberfest Marzen - outstanding, probably the best I've had
Hop Harvest which was not as "syrupy" as others I've had.

My wife had the raspberry ale which we both enjoyed.

We had an appetizer of sweet potato fries and one of the pizzas. The food was good.

They are a sister brewery to Lumberyard which we visited the next night. If I had to pick one, I'd go with Lumberyard as they had a lot of the same beers and more beers which were more interesting and more up my alley.

Stopped at the Beaver St. Brewery on our way to the Grand Canyone from Scottsdale, good half way point. It was the start to a nice little beer tour of flagstaff, with another stop at the Lumberyard, Beaver St.'s sister production brewery down the street.

We entered from the side parking lot side; setup from this entrance is the bar to your right with about 15 seats and the dining room to the front and left and kitchen to the far left. Brewery operations are setup behind the bar to the right from this entrance. One offputing feature is the carpeted floors, not exactly ideal for an establishment that serves mass amounts of liquids. Anyway, the food and beer far outweight this downside.

I think we were the first customers of the day, at just before noon, which made it a bit subdued but it warmed up as the lunchtime crowd filled in.

Quality of the serving of food and beer was well worth noting. Beers were served in appropriate glassware and the food was all done well with generous portions.

Service was great, very knowledgeable of the beer selection with some good suggestions for pairings.

Beer selection was great, about 10 or so on draft. I tried the Helles Bock which was great presentation of this style. Other beers to note were the pale ale, IPA, and stout.

Food was great, everyone of the 6 of us enjoyed our meals. The brewer's wurst plate is a feature to take note of.

Very good value, reasonable beer and food prices make this a great experience.

I've been a fan of this joint since before I could drink.

The food is great. They rock a woodfired pizza oven and make great personal pies. Also, if you're really hungry, grab the brewer's platter... It's wurst heaven.

Beer wise it's pretty decent. I have had two different IPAs there... both being ok. The R&R stout is tasty. Also had a tripel there that wasn't bad. The Railhead Red is ok too.

Not really a knock your socks of beer experience, but overall a great place to dine and drink.

Outfitted to look like a train station it sort of fails at that. It's too nice inside to be a train station. There's a big pot belly wood-burning stove near the front where you can sit and warm up (if need be) while waiting to be seated.

The beers and specials are well-noted throughout the restaurant so you don't even need to have your waitperson explain them to you.

The food is really good. Their signature burger is really tasty and their soft pretzels make for great appetizers. Their sandwiches are also inventive and tasty and they are kid-friendly with a decent menu for them. The kitchen is pretty open so you can look into pretty easily. That kind of confidence in their food prep is impressive.

The beer is really good. The Hop Shot IPA and the R&R Oatmeal Stout were my favorites, but the Hefeweizen was a little lacking as I have found all hefeweizens in the Western US to be.

They say that their cobbler is "divine" or "awesome" depending on which menu board you read, but the one I had (peach-blueberry) was not. The topping was mealy and the blueberries overpowered the peaches entirely. I love blueberries but I had expected a balance with the peaches and got none.

Overall a great experience for a great price. Two adults, two kids and a baby...three beers, one appetizer, two kids meals, two entrees, two kids desserts and one adult dessert all for under $90, including a good tip.

We stopped here on our first night in Flagstaff after visiting the Grand Canyon. This place was a short walk from our hotel in old downtown. The selection here was good. I had the Hopshot IPA and their Oatmeal Stout and my Wife had the Big Rapid Red and their Hefeweizen. All were solid beers and quite tasty. The IPA was actually comparable to some of the west-coast IPA's I have had which was somewhat surprising.

It was somewhat crowded when we arrived but a table opened up quickly. Service was attentive and friendly. The menu was quite extensive but we both ended up selecting one of Woodfired Pizza's. I had the three sausage and Wife had the Beaver Street. Both were delicious.

This was quite a nice place to have a few beers and eat some quality food. I would definitely recommend it to others passing through town.

On our little cross country trip, we stopped at Beaver Street Brewery in Flagstaff. I liked the atmosphere in there. It was nice. I had a Hopshot IPA which was really good and I tried my wife's Brambleberry Brew which was pretty good too. The food was awesome. We all had different pizzas and the one I had was awesome. I would love to go back there next time I am in Flagstaff but it probably won't be for a while. The IPA was very good and so wa the Brambleberry Brew. I picked up a tshirt there too which they only had in white but it was still a cool tshirt.

Mothers day 2010. My wife and I had spent the day on the Grand Canyon Railway (Williams to the South Rim and back) and the shuttle bus dropped us off at the AmTrack station, 50 meters from here. Our hotel was just past the brewery and as we hadn't made it in here yet, we stopped off for our tea.

The place is more restuarant than a bar, although the brewing equipment is in full view if you get given a seat towards the windows, as we were. There were a couple of people sitting at the bar, so food isn't a must. The place was almost full, mothers being treated to a night off from cooking, families enjoying the evening together, nice, but annoying when you want a quiet pint and a pizza, we should have sat at the bar!

The place is open plan with the pizza ovens to your left on entering, the bar and brewing equipment to the right, semi-rustic-woody-homely look to it as a whole.

The waiting staff were fine and friendly, the pizza's too big, we needed doggy bags. Couldn't get excited about their beers though, nothing wrong with them, but nothing stood out about them either. The Brew and Cue part appeared completely empty (21.00 on a May Sunday), so after or meal we headed back to our motel beds via the fridge which I'd stashed some goodies into.

I made it here about 6ish on a Tuesday. The place wasn't full but they were filling up after I arrived. I sat at the bar, it has about 15 seats. Large open room you can see the kitchen all seating and bar from almost anywhere. The brewing equipment is behind the bar visible through glass.
Bartendress was very attractive and on top of her job. Describing beers as a beer drinker would describe them. I had their Kolsch and IPA. Kolsch was pretty much average but the IPA blew me away.
Didn't try food on this visit, I had already eaten over at Flagstaff brewing. I think next time I will eat here, their food looks better.
If I found myself in this city with only time to hit one place this would be my choice.

Really enjoyed this brewery. Very close to the place we were staying. Ended up closing the place and going next door to the pool hall/ bar attached called Brews and Cues. Our bartender was great. True, we were the only ones in the place on a Sunday night, but, he was attentive to our needs. Let us sample. Blended a couple of beers for us also. Did I mention that we closed the other side as well. Beers were decent. Had one or two really good ones. What we really enjoyed was a fruit beer combined with the stout. I would recommend this place.

Stopped in here on the way back from visiting the Grand Canyon and must say that I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was typical pub feel, lots of rustic wood, some memorabilia lining the walls and a nice big open feel. We opted to eat out back on their patio which was pretty great except for one couple who insisted on smoking throughout the duration of our meal. I love OR and the fact that you can't smoke anywhere you please! Tough to smell the aromas of a nice beer with smoke filling and burning my nostrils. Anyway, the quality of the beers was solid, I had a sampler and enjoyed them all and then ordered a pint of the ipa on tap and it was delish. The service was pretty attentive and the selection of food and beer was great. I chose a wood fired pizza and it was one of the best pizzas i've ever had at a pub, crispy crust and fresh toppings, very nice! Overall the experience was great and I will be sure to stop in here the next time I'm in the area. Very cool vibe, good food, and solid beer!

This place was recommended as the must stop place in town for good food and beer. The place was quite crowded for a mid-week evening dinner and we got on of the last tables in the place. There is a nice outdoor seating area with picnic tables if you prefer some fresh air. The bar is large, overlooks some brewery equipment, and can seat about 15. An open kitchen shows the wood burning stove for pizzas and plenty of cooks working the area. I have to admit I have never seen so many waiters / waitresses in an establishment which provided quick and friendly service despite the crowds.

Beer wise there were 6 beers available, Hotshot IPA, Lumberjack Lager, Belgian Pale Ale, Railhead red, Stout, and a Berry flavored wheat beer. The beers were of good quality and were tasty.

Food was terrific as the appetizers and dinners were flavorful and well prepared. This is not a gourmet restaurant, but high end pub food.

Upon leaving I stopped by the large merchandise section to pick up a tee shirt. If I had only one place to stop in Flagstaff, this place is the one to select.

We arrived after a trip to the grand Canyon and were afraid we would never get a seat. The place was full, but we only had a five minute wait. The crowd was very mixed: bikers, families, couples. Our waiter was Johnny on the Spot, delivering the sampler minutes after we ordered. As we finished the last glass he took our order, and then took our order. The copperhead pizza was well-made, and very filling. My friend had the brewmasters platter, full of brats and potates.

If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop by.

The "granola" invasion in Flagstaff seems to have spared this place, at least relatively speaking.

Upon entering, the comfy lounge chairs and sofa to the right are a nice touch, and the bar has large, beautiful mirrors. Nice pool area, and overall a very clean place, uncluttered, and attracting a diverse range of age groups.

Beer selection is normal for a brewpub, with their GABF 2007 winning Hefe-Weizen leading the lineup, although the menu says that the locals prefer the Red ale.

Prices are reasonable, and menu fare is (again) not overly influenced by the granola culture. I enjoyed the pesto-cream cheese dip with warm bread & crackers, at a reasonable price as well.

This is probably the best place, overall, in Flagstaff for a BA to visit.

A local tried to put me off of this place by referring to it as "corporate". As a result, I headed right over. This business of writing places off simply because they may be part of a chain, however small, is bogus! I embrace the chains and will continue to support the post-shakeout brewpubs until they prise the chain from my cold, dead fingers.

The windows fronting the place ran along Beaver Street and included the Beaver Street Brews and (Pool) Cues Lounge. As I continued south on Beaver Street, the restaurant and a few FVs were visible in the window. The entrance, however, was perpendicular to Beaver and accessed through their parking lot. Entering, the m.d.s. was to the immediate right and featured a cabinet full of logo items. Headed aft, in the centerline, was a working vintage cast-iron stove with "HOT" stamped on brass plates all over its belly. The place then became a "T"-shape with the kitchen to the left past Smoky Stover (the stove) and the long, polished dark wood bar to the right. Beyond the T-intersection was a sea of seating that ran the gamut from booths along the back wall to paddle tables and stools along the window to high tables and chairs in the center to standard tables and chairs comprising the restaurant area off to the left. The lavatories were in the right corner of the restaurant area, all of the way aft.

For supper that evening, I had the last order of the special - a Grilled Basil Salmon entrée. It consisted of a fillet basted in house-made basil pesto and then grilled, along with creamy red potatoes and sautéed fresh asparagus. It is now time for a digression and a P.S.A for the women in our audience. Hello, ladies! Your ideal boyfriend will be that fellow who professes to a love of salmon. It is a beautiful pink color; it has a fleshy, flaky mouthfeel; and a marvelously unique taste. If he eats salmon on a routine basis, then the chances are that he will enjoy munching something else that should seem eminently familiar at this point. C'mon, paired with asparagus?!? This was dinner for two at home. Take note all of you Romeo and Juliets. Man, I love eating ... salmon.

Who was it that tried to dissuade me from coming here by dissing it? Jagov! This would be my first stop in town, bar none.

I also stopped by the aforementioned billiards hall next door on my way back to the nearby youth hostel. The centerpiece was its long, dark, laminated wood, "U"-shaped bar with its equally elegant back bar with a huge arch above an equally large mirror. A plaque noted that it was built by Brunswick in St. Louis of handcrafted American mahogany. My server told me that it was around 120 years old and had been moved around a good bit until landing in its current location in 2001. I was also told that a bullet hole in the back bar was the result of a card dispute. F'in' impressive! They featured five billiards tables plus one British billiards table.

Beers: R & R Stout; Lager del Sol; HefeWeizen; Bramble Berry Brew; Railhead Ed; and Beaver Street IPA, plus growlers. I mostly stuck with the IPA, but I had a glass of the B3 out of curiosity.

Mom?: In a heartbeat!

The place looks a lot better than it is. Brewing setup is proudly behind large windows. Looks a bit corporate, but not in a bad way. Food is a crapshoot, could get something good, could get stuck with something bland and sad. As for the beer, you can find something okay, but nothing outstanding. Stay away from the fruit beers, they cleave to the palate like grim death and won't let go, nothing will wash away the taste!!!

I may give this place another chance one day. But there are many other places that I already like much better, and will go there first. Needless to say, it will be a few years before I'll wear out my welcome elsewhere in flagstaff.

The second of the three breweries I hit during my short stay in Flag. It's a very large place with lots of seating - large dark wood bar and tables as well as some nicely placed wood-burning stoves that one could sit by in a comfortable chair and enjoy a beer. It had an extensive menu, much more than a usual brewery. I had the Beaver St. Pizza with roasted tomatoes and goat cheese which was really good. Their beer was good, not spectacular, but I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and some good brews.

We hit Beaver St. and Lowell Observatory on a night we were staying in Flagstaff after a big day up at the big hole in the ground Arizona's famous for.

I was at first dismayed because the hostess gives you a number once you put your name in and then you are supposed to monitor a digital board until it comes up. But the numbers didn't ever seem to change so once we finished our first beers (a pilsner for me, my dad a delicious coffee stout) we opted to eat at the bar which was fine.

The food and service at the bar were excellent. Wood-fired pizzas and various bistro-entrees and appetizers dominate the menu but many are from around the world and everything I see carried to tables looks good. The beer selection is a little above average, I think. There were six tap handles plus Hardcore cider (thought that was unusual this far west) were the most exotic/seasonal being Brambleberry fruit beer.

Overall I was pleased and would definitely stop here again through N. Arizona.

This is Da Boss and my second trip to Beaver Street. The atmosphere is very welcoming when you first walk in. Right ahead of you as you walk in is a wood burning stove with comfortable chairs to wait in. The bar side does not lend a cozy atmosphere as does the dining side. Quality of food and beer are good. Service is good as we were greeted by our server and given a beer quickly despite the busy late lunch crowd. Da Boss had the Berry Bramble which was quite good from what she said. I had the IPA which was right up there with a number of West Coast IPA's I have had. Overall menu was very good for food and beer. Selection of food was good. We chose the chicken chili which went real well with the IPA I had. Prices were fairly reasonable as we spent about $30 for lunch and three beers. Would recommend if you are in the Flag area.

After a long days drive from Vegas, we needed a place to decompress and relax with good chow and of course great beer. We found that place when we pulled up a Flagstaff brew pub signed with the words "beaver" and "beer". How could we go wrong?

Inside the spacious cafe, friendly staff consisting prominently of Arizona University coeds work the tables bringing fresh brew from the gleaming copper tanks situated behind the bar, and wood grilled pizzas from the brick ovens fronting the open kitchen. Square and round wooden tables accompanied with mismatched chairs complimented the casual family friendly yet college hang-out acceptable atmosphere.

I started off with the porter, and instantly the 4 1/2 hour drive was worth it. Full bodied, warm mouth feel, with chocolate notes with a sweet and balanced bitter taste warmed me right up. I continued warming up with the pale ale, very hoppy yet well balanced with grassy notes, full bodied and very drinkable. Quality beer all around. I may have had more beers but I don't remember. I do remember however we enjoyed thoroughly everything we tried.

The food was another story. The best way I can describe it is good but weird. Annette had an open-faced panini. Exactly, what is an open-faced panini? I sampled one of the many white pizzas offered from the variety rich menu, one with pesto, chicken and mozzarella I think. The beer battered onion ring appetizer was one of the best we've tried anywhere. The generous portions though somewhat eclectic were good, and the menu really seemed like it had something for everyone.

The fast and attentive service warranted a generous tip.

Definitely, the Beaver Street Brewing Co. is worth a return visit.
