341ml bottle poured into pint glass dec21 2009
A cloudy golden yellow with bubbles popping up from everywhere, a thumbs width of head falls fast and leaves no lace
S on par for the style with banana, spice, some citrus and of course wheat
T not far off the smell perhaps a little more lemon and even more wheat
M crisp and with good carbonation things work out well for thiis one
D not the best winter beer but quite good nonetheless and another worthy beer from a great brewer
in my part of the world (Alberta) this one's only available in the mixer pack, a little pricey at over 30$ for the 12 pack.

Swirl poured into a weizen glass. Lots of carbonation. Two finger bubbly head. Hazy yellow colour. Good head retention. Yeasty citrus smells. Mild yeast flavours up front with a spicy tangle in the aftertaste. Light refreshing mouthfeel. Drinkability was high. A very drinkable version of a drinkable style. Too bad these seem to be only available in a combi pack.

This beer replaces Milady, which is now retired.
Poured from a 341ml bottle.
Appearance: Cloudy, hazy & pale yellow body with lots of bubbles but a very thin ring that quickly dissipates.
Smell: Bready, banana with some spice in there. Aroma is quite pleasant.
Taste: Crisp with a bit of zest and a clean finish. Balanced with some banana in the aftertaste. Fairly straightforward with a dominant wheat presence.
Mouthfeel: As it warms, more bread-like quality mixed with banana that coats the mouth. Taste starts light but gets a little heavier. Subdued spice in there. Carbonation is quite active but not unpleasant. A bit of a tart, dry finish with some yeast.
Drinkability: Refreshing enjoyable brew that drinks well, especially in the summer.
Overall: I like this one and certainly wouldn't mind picking it up again.

Tasted on May 13, 2009.
A: Typical hefeweizen color. Pale hazy yellow. The head is very cloudy and stick well to the glass.
S: Wheat and banana. Mostly banana bread. Smell of average intensity.
T: The beer taste is not strong. Mainly banana bread I would say. This is typical of hefeweizen IMO.
M: Thin bodied beer.
D: Easy drinkable beer. Very refreshing in a hot summer day or after any hard day at work. This is a good beer to have instead of those damn light beers!

A: a mildy cloudy light orangish color. One finger of head on top of the beer. Decent retention and lacing but nothing astounding looking.
S: The yeasty phenoly characteristics of a hefe are all there.
T: Very yeasty and bread like. Malts provide a nice sweetness but are balanced appropriately for the style. Cloves are most prominent but banana esters also poke their head out.
M: Very clean and easy drinking. The drinkability is very nice and the beer is quiet refreshing.
O: It was a pretty good beer but I could definately see this shining with some german cuisine. I'm thinking the traditional wiesswurst and pretzels.

2nd beer of 4 from the Les Trois Mousquetaires variety pack. Pours out a cloudy straw hue, tall frothy with head with good retention.
It's all there where it belongs in the aroma, banana, clove, some citrus zing, light nutty notes.
Flavour is mild, bready malt up first, mild tart grain follows, soft citrus finish that retains into a smooth rounded aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is quite rounded and soft as well, the lightest of pin prick carbonation on the finish.
A polite, refined hefe that has its moments without offending in the slightest, although on that same note it tends to be fairly forgettable. A good hefe to use as a gateway for those ready to take a new step.

A - Pours a very thin layer of head. Nice light golden colour with your typical foggy hefe look. Some visible carbonation, but nowhere near the level of some of their other brews.
S - Sweet pineapple with citrus zest and cloves.
T - Almost a sweet lemon flavour off the bat, and finishes with a very sweet baked banana loaf flavour. The cloves really come through on the finish as well.
M - Not overly carbonated, a nice light feel on the palette.
D - Very drinkable, and absolutely recommended to anyone seeking a hefe with a bit of a kick. A unique flavour, and by no means your bland hefe.

No date on the bottle, alas.
Small-to-medium fizzy head atop a light clear (especially for unfiltered) gold body. Smells sweet and wheaty. The bottle suggests banana on the nose, but we don't get it.
A dry, acidic fizzy first impression. Refreshing. Just a hint of funk maybe. Maybe a hint of a fruity (pear?) finish. Not much going on, but very refreshing. A beer's beer.

from a taster pack with 4 beers. My 400th review @ beer advocate...perhaps some bonus karma is coming my way....( not holding my breath)
Decent enough hefe in the looks dept. Pale straw/aprocot in colour, nice bone white head, decent lacing. Has the cloudy look down pat.
Somewhat grainy bananna aroma with a hint of clove-like spioe.
Taste is a better version of Okagangan springs or Tree Brewings efforts, but not by much. Sharpness from the wheat malt is noticeable and expected. Found the carbonation fell off quickley though. Hints of bananna, spice from the yeast, and a touch of graininess. Quite smooth mouthfeel, probably due to the carbonation dropping off.
Decent effort and certainly up there for Canadian built hefeweizens. I guess I was expected more from these guys after being blown away by their dopplebock.

Fresh bottle. Refreshing if not exceptional hefe. Yeast and bannana aroma. Unfiltered banana with lasting 3/16 inch of head, and lace lining as I drink it from my Sam Adams glass. Above average mouthfeel, boosted by above average carbonation (unnecessary). The taste is more musty than fruity, there is a bit of sourness at the finish unexpected by the style, but decent drinkability.

Cloudy yellow with a fine sticky head of white foam. Nose is oranges, lemon and yeast - but none of the advertised banana. Light on the tongue with a smooth carbonation. Slightly watery maybe, with flavours of orange and wheat. Slightly acidic up front and on the dry side. OK, but not spectacular. A little light in flavour.

This beer pours a cloudy pale straw colour, with two fingers of thin foamy white head, which leaves a thin droopy ring of lace around the glass as it recedes. It smells of fruity banana esters, white pepper, and light wheat grain. The taste is spicy wheat grain up front, followed by a funky yeastiness, pithy banana, spicy clove, and some mild citrus. The carbonation is on the restrained side, the body medium weight, a bit prickly, and just short of smooth. It finishes off-dry, the wheat character becoming more prevalent.
Not too shabby a hefe - banana and wheat, not too sweet, I deem this to be a minor treat...

Pours a cloudy darkish yellow. Huge head settles down to a thin film eventually. A bit of lacing remained. The smell is very strong and has hints of citrus and coriander. Unfortunately it has a strong ammonia smell to me which I don't like. Taste loses the ammonia and is heavily spiced. It is very carbonated. Add that to the spiciness and I don't think you could session this. Not a horrible brew but not something I would seek out again.

Pours a hazy pale orange colour with thick white head that dissipates without any lacing. Smells strongly of lemon zest, with some spices and wheat malt. Flavour is quite tart from the lemon, which seems to overpower this a little bit. This reminds me of a wit more than a hefe actually. Still tastes pretty good. Pretty big carbonation level. Not of one the better beers from this brewery.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow weizen with some white haze and a nice pure white foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of wheat is dominating and more present hen I first suspected. Taste is also dominated by lots of wheat but is unfortunately lacking in cloves and banana notes. Easily drinkable with no major flaws but lacking some character to make this a standard.

Poured into my Champps glass..
result is a very fizzy medium golden color beer. almost no head. some kind of cloudy but pretty clear to me..
smell is nice, fruity, banana, sweet stuff..
taste is not what I expected after that nice smell. Theres something about banana but its a bit odd and offtrack
carbonation is taking over the mouthfeel,
drinkability, well its the worst of the mixed pack. Probably alright with a burger or something.

341ml bottle poured into a pint glass
Appearance - the beer pours a cloudy pale yellow colour with a huge foamy/fizzy white head. I can't a see a whole lot of carbonation, and there is a fair amount of lacing. The head stuck around for a little while.
Smell - A peppery spice mix, coriander, wheat, and citrus zest.
Taste & Mouth - The beer has a great amount of carbonation, and it full of flavor. Up first is the spice mix, followed by a citrus after taste. It also has a nutty taste.
Drink - Although I'm not a huge wheat beer fan, this one is pretty good.

From a sample back brought back from Montreal by a friend - thanks Lori!
Poured into a hefe glass. Light opaque golden, about a half inch of fairly reliable head. Survives as a thin ring throughout.
Nose is banana, cloves, pepper, and a strong whiff of wheat.
Taste is about the same. Starts off like a standard hefe - banana, cloves, bubblegum and spice - but finishes with a strong wheat malt kick that I'm not really digging. Tends to overpower the lot, and throws off the brew's balance.
Mouthfeel is crisp and sports a medium body, light but thorough carbonation.
Not my favorite wit - probably won't get it again, but it's drinkable.

Pours a fairly pale golden color with a minimal head that recedes quickly to a tiny ring of foam. It's nothing special to look at that's for sure.
The smell has lots of mixed fruit scents, the strongest being banana, mixed with some cloves. It's neither appealing nor unappealing and the taste is fairly similar except that cloves and some spice come through quite a bit more.
Mouthfeel is fine but I find drinkability to be a bit lacking. I have some trouble getting through these.. more so than other Hefeweizen's I've had in the past.
