Summer 2009 edition. I picked this bomber up at the Dépanneur Peluso in Montreal last month. I see now we can buy it in Edmonton - for this I further battered my poor suitcase?

This beer pours a very cloudy brownish orange, with a ton of puffy, creamy white head, which leaves a smattering of webbed lace as it slowly melts away. It smells of sweet, grainy wheat, orange and lemon citrus, and yeast. The taste is wheat, banana, citrus, yeast, and sweet alcohol. The carbonation is mild, the body thick, viscous, smooth, and solid, and it finishes off-dry, that soft, smooth wheat persisting, along with some substantial, but well integrated, booze warming.

This is one solid, in multiple senses of word, beer. Pretty heavy for summer quaffing, but better as the evening shadows lengthen.
