A big thank you to montrealbcr89 for this QC treat. Bottled Feb. 2013.
Appearance. Pours a lightly hazy deep amber with a finger of slightly off-white head that leaves some nice lace.
Smell. Whoa, huge citrus hops here. Tons of oranges and yellow grapefruit rinds. There's a little bit of pine and just a bit of caramel malts coming through, but that citrus is something else.
Taste. Sweet caramel (and by sweet I mean candy like sweetness), candied orange and grapefruit slices complete with bitter rinds. A little bit of pine is there but that sweet citrus flavour is dominant.
Mouthfeel. Full body, a bit sticky, low carbonation.
Overall. Nice flavours going on here (albeit mostly citrus), but the sweetness is a little over the top. I doubt I'll be able to get through the entire bottle just because it's so sugary, but I'll do my best ;-)

On tap at Winter Warmer: Poured a medium copper color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of citrus and pine hoppy notes is quite powerful but well balanced by some rich caramelized malt notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some citrus and pine notes mixed in with some caramelized malt with light toffee undertones. Body is about average with low carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very easily drinkable and good combination of West Coast hops in a Barley wine. I usually prefer English-style barley wine but this one was well balanced with a good hops punch.

Appearance: It has a nice hazy deep redish/orange color to it. It has a nice thick beige head that dies down moderately and leaves nice lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of pine resin, citrus, some grapefruit, sweet caramel and biscuity malts.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has a some nice piney resins upfront along with citrus, grapefruit, some sweet caramel, buttery notes and some alcohol as it warms up.
Mouthfeel: It has a low carbonation with a very nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with great flavors and aromas.

Bottled Feb 2013. Many thanks to Papat444 for this one!
The beer is amber in colour, with a moderately-sized white head. Decent retention.
Nose is quite hoppy, which surprised me. Pine primarily, but also some citrus fruit. A strong resin scent. Despite the strong hop presence, the malts also make themselves known. Caramel and bread, some sweetness. The booze is noticeable.
Taste is very nice. I would say the malts are dominant, but it is close. Lots of sweet caramel, balanced with a pleasant bitterness that bring flavours of fruit and pine. The booze is present but not strongly so- it is clearly a strong beer but not hot. A real nice balance between the malt and hops, sweet and bitter.
Full bodied, moderately carbonated, a bit sticky and chewy.
Overall, very good stuff. A very nice barleywine. Perhaps a touch on the sweet side, but only slightly.
