I think this was a good beer in theroy but I think the cask serving is detriment to the overall feel and drinkablility of this beer. It looks good and creamy with a slight haze and a head thick tan in color. Smells of slight roast malt and some spice like clove. The taste is somewhat peppery on top of a regular porter base. The creaminess comes mostly from the cask but it could also have some lactic sugar in there too. I would like to see this on a regular tap, but mostly this is not my cup-o-tea.
