Sampled at the 7th Annual Kingdom of Fife Beer Festival, Glenrothes.

Pours a golden yellow with a rocky, bubbly white head. Rather an intense hoppy aroma with some subtle notes of tangerine and some faint malts. Sweet malts upfront in the taste followed quickly by an earthy hop character with some peppery hints as well as some faint citrus notes. Quite hoppy for an English Pale Ale. Rather enjoyable. Nice moderate mouthfeel and smooth from the cask-conditioning. A rather pleasant ale and quite drinkable. Not as good a session ale as other pale ales due to the strength but the strong hop presence keeps things interesting.

A: Pours a clear golden orange color. A rocky two finger head forms, and sticks throughout. Rings of patchy lace are left behind.
S: Floral and grassy hops up front. Along with a very spicy hop aroma. Bread and biscuit malt for balance.
T: This is really nice. At first floral, grassy, and spicy hops that follow the nose. A fruity flavor of pears and apples. Dry wood and apple cider flavors as well. This continues to develop with each sip.
M/D: A medium body that is crisp, smooth and dry. Easy to drink. I finished my pint without a problem, and could of had more. Very inviting.

This is an excellent Pale Ale. Fairly strong considering the other low ABV beers I have had on cask in Scotland. Though it is still a treat to drink. Something I highly recommend.
