Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading slowly to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a citrus smell with lots of grapefruit and a bit of sweeter tangerine and orange. Along with these smells are some notes of a biscuit and cracker aroma as well as a light bit of a grassy smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a very crisp biscuit and cracker flavor mixed with some hints of an orange and tangerine sweetness and a moderate amount of a grapefruit hop. The grapefruit grows slightly stronger in nature as the flavor advances with some of the sweeter fruit flavors dwindling a bit. A little bit of a grassy and herbal hop flavor also develop more toward the end of the taste, and with the loss of much of the sweeter fruit and biscuit flavors, one is left with a very crisp and moderately hopped flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner and crisper side with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly above average side. For the crisp nature of the beer the feel is very nice, making for a very refreshing drinker.
Overall – A crisp and refreshing brew with a good level of flavor and a nice clean flavor. A nice summer style brew.
