Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, floral and some wheat like notes. In the taste, a dry floral presence with some lemon notes. A small bitterness and a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry floral note in the aftertaste. Basic, clean, and fresh. I wouldn't say this is a Kolsch, more a summery wheat.

A crisp hoppy attack your taste buds brew. Better than standard German imports. Not a bad brew in the joint and all have a decent smell and head. Refreshing fresh taste prefered on its own as a late aft brew. Would go with spicey or smokey meats or even fish.

On tap @ the Bullfrog Brewery (Williamsport, PA) on 2/26/11. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a crystal clear copper, with a thin bright-white head. This maintains some foamy richness, leaving back some creamy spotty lacing. The aroma smells grassy and spicy, with notes of citric fruit and sweet toasted grains across the back of the nose.
The taste pretty spot on with the nose, with a mix of sweet grains and citric fruit that gives way to a spicy bitterness (which only intensifies as this warms) that really adds a sharp and dry feel to the finish on this. The mouthfeel has a lighter medium body on it, smooth crispness to the carbonation that keeps this easy drinking throughout.
I found this American Blonde Ale to be much more full flavored and enjoyable to drink than a lot of other brewpub "light" beer offerings that many keep on hand to appeal to those making the transition to craft beer. This was well balanced and easy drinking despite a rather assertive character from those Noble hops. Good stuff here.

Pours a pale yellow gold; nothing spectacular but a nice white head and decent lacing. Smell has a pale base with a nice, refreshing amount of floral hops--always nice in a blonde ale, which is all too often something that is just completely generic. This reminded me a little bit of the magnificent Sierra Nevada 22 Bines that I had last year. A nice floral hoppiness--albeit light hoppiness--is most of what comes through in the flavor department, leading to an exceedingly drinkable light brew.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Not too bad for the style, though I don't really care much for the style in general. Golden yellow pour, clear, with a thin wispy white head that retained as a small ringlet. Aroma of sweet malts, toasted grains, light floral hops. Taste of biscuity malts, a little honey sweetness, light floral hops. Light body, an easy drinker for the less adventurous.

On tap at the Bullfrog Brew Pub.
Poured a meidum and clear yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of graininess and had some citrus in the background. Tastes of grains and floral hops. Thin and somewhat watery body.

After visiting the BFB for 13 years I FINALLY took the time to drink and review a pint of this brew, their "regular" BMC replacement beer.
A-Brilliant golden yellow with a thin bright white head that reduced to a thin ring and left spotty lace.
S-Lightly sweet biscuit malt and a bit of spicy floral hops and a bit of grainy bread.
T-Light bread grains, sweet biscuit and a dash of lightly spiced floral hops. Nothing crazy here of course but enough flavour to make it somewhat interesting for a light offering,
M-Medium-light fairly sharp and crisp with light lingering hop zip.
D-Goes down easy and certainly nothing too amazing, but well done nonetheless. Certainly not my cup o' brew but for those just coming into the fold or uneducated visitors looking for a BMC product this is a fine offering.

The Bullfrog Brewery is the one place I am sure to visit everytime I make the trip home to Williamsport. Suprisingly, the Billtown Blonde is my least consumed beer. It is a light, refreshing pilsner, perfect on hot summer day after the Little League World Series. Smooth taste, and easy drinkability make this the popular beer for those who think the only beers there are are miller, bud and coors.

Draft offering at the source. The brew appears a crystal clear pale yellow color with a thin white head that is quick to collapse.
The aroma is nearly completely muted. It takes quite a while for it to warm up in my glass before any noticeable scent is detected. What does permiate is a scent of mild lemony hop aspect with a faint backing of sweet grainy character.
The taste is lemony upfront almost like rice crispy candy/treats of some sort coupled with a wheaty fresh grain aspect. There is a mild herbal inclusion of hops that imparts a contrasting amount of bitterness.
This is a light bodied brew. It's most noteable aspect is how crisp the finish is and how easy drinking. This presents itself as an everyday beer for someone who just wants to effortlessly throw a bunch back without puttin much thought into it.

A - pours a clear straw yellow with no foam to speak of
S - sweet malt and a bit of floral hops
T - slight grainy and floral hop flavors
M/D - nice easy drinking light beer, nothing too amazing, but a good tasting brew nonetheless. Not my favorite but a good overall beer.

On draft at Bullfrog, neat I like Kolsches...usually.
Beer is yellow with an ever so subtle haze, a thin broken head of small and large bubbles, no lacing, moderate to low carbonation.
Beer has almost no aroma, just some pilsen.
Beer is medium to light in body and wet on the palate. It's mildly sweet on the front nad mildly grainy on the back without being acidic. The finish is wet and it's easily drinkable. I could drink this all day long.

One of a few that I had on my visit up to Bullfrog brewery. This brew comes out as a crystal clear yellow beer with not much head. The beer is super light on taste and mouthfeel. The style explains all this of course. The flavors weren't too bad, there was some fresh grains and a little bit of hops in there but not much. Overall for this style it's a pretty good beer.
