Served in a pint tumbler, this ale was honey golden to bronze, hazy with promise. There was minimal head by adequate lacing. The aroma of this beer held great hope, an outstanding hop assault, with presence of alcohol noted.
Flavor was dominated by hops (& lots of 'em). It didn't scream citrus, rather it was a blend of citrus, piney, floral, and all the best hoppy flavors I can think of. Just enough toasty malty substance to give support without standing out. Hard to pick out any particular flavors, just good. Mouthfeel was pure pleasure, medium body, tangy and bold, a serious boost to the senses, carbonation just right.
The only drawback to this ale's drinkability is the 7.5% abv, which limits volume that can be consumed. So it encourages savoring of every sip. Bravo to this beer.
