On tap at the brewpub. Arrived in a standard shaker glass. Sunrise appears a hazed crimson copper color with a good finger or so of creamy light rust colored head. The foam leaves a nice lace in it's wake with each sip. Nose and flavors consist of sweet caramel malt, toasted sweet bread, red grapefruit juice and zest, tangerine, pine, lemon. Wow, a lot of flavor going on here considering the low ABV. Very nice medium body maybe a bit better, with ample carbonation and a bittersweet finish. Really wish I wasn't driving. I would have liked to sit down with two or more glasses after this one. Went down quite smoothly.

A-On tap at the brewery in a imperial shaker pint. A very nice reddish copper color with a bout a half finger of head and decent lacing.

S-Grapefruit and citrus, some caramel malts.

T-A really nice hop profile going on here. The grapefruit and citrus comes through big time.Though there is certainly a very nice malt backbone here. Extremely well balanced and just a massive amount of flavor for a four and a half percent beer.

M-Nice and smooth with the perfect amount of carbonation.

D-With the low ABV this flavorful and hoppy amber would go down nicely several times over the course of an evening. I will be getting a growler of this next time I head to Bullfrog.

P- Pick this up today at Al's of Hampden in Enola, PA

A- A crystal honey like color. A nice head (3 and half fingers). A peak head and splotchy lacing on my weizen. Very nice to look at it.

S- Grapefruit hops dominate the nose. Some light caramel malts but nothing more.

T- same as smell. Exact same.

M- a nice lil hop for the red ale. Dry and creamy.

D- a nice sessionable beer. Goes down with ease and overall it is great. I love bullfrog brews.

On tap at the brewpub. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a nice deep honey color with a hint of copper. The nose is nice, bringing a pretty good amount of grapefruit, citrus, and pine. The taste is a bit more malty with some bread-like characteristics and a bit of yeast in addition to a good level of dry citrus bitterness. Mouthfeel is fairly light and dry. Drinkability is quite good. Nice and hoppy without too much alcohol.

Picked up this growler earlier today at the Jaspers release.

Pours a clear reddish amber color with about a finger and a half of off-white head. Keeps a good lace, thin but full, and coats the sides a bit as well.

The smell is pretty weak, but otherwise is nice. There is some bready and lightly sweet malt and some fresh citrusy, zesty hops. Bit of pine too. It's just a bit of a struggle to draw these out.

Taste is more flavorful and is really quite nice. Some good caramel and lightly toasted, bready malt and lots of hops. They are primarily citrusy, with some juicy grapefruit and some more bitter pith as well. Some pine too, like the nose. Everything is relative here, so this is not hopped like an IPA by any means, but for a light sessionable beer this has a ton of flavor and a lot of hops. Good amount of bitterness too, which lingers in the finish.

Mouthfeel is a light body and very smooth. I do wish it had a bit more carbonation, as a snappier, crisper finish would amplify the hops I think. This growler is only a few hours old, but the sample I had at the brewery was similarly carbonated and the pint I ordered that the waitress never brought to me but instead left sitting at the bar for a half hour looked similar in terms of initial head and retention, so I don't think I'm getting any less carbonation/crispness here because it's out of the growler.

This is a tasty beer and extremely drinkable. This would be an easy beer to sit back and put away 4 or 5 of over the course of an evening...oh wait, I have a growler in the fridge and the kids are in bed; maybe I'll do just that!

A - A ruby kissed, honey tinted body...a white head stands about two fingers tall...leaves some decent lacing

S - There's a nice profile of citrus hops as well as bready, caramel malts

T - The flavors mirror the aroma pretty well...the malts are present upfront and they are sweet and a little bit bready...like a biscuit dipped in caramel...the citrus hops end this beer nicely with a bittersweet finish

M - Light bodied...crisp, refreshing, nice finish

D - This beer was greatly refreshing...mix that with the nice citrus hop profile and low ABV it makes for a nice session beer...I'd enjoy this one all summer

On tap at bullfrog, beer is red and clear with a thin tan head of small bubbles that leaves a little lacing on the glass, beer is mildly carbonated.

The aroma is quite piny and has a secondary citrus nose to it. Interesting.

Beer is medium in body and quite hoppy in the palate. It is an interesting blend of biscuit malts and piny / citrus hops. The finish is pretty bitter, more bitter than I expected. Overall its a decent beer and kind of a cool take on the amber.

On tap at Bullfrog on 11/29/10.

A - Clear reddish orange body with a frothy off-white head that reduced to a bubbly patch and a splattering of lace.

S - Sweet malt base with moderate floral hop notes and a hint of perfumy characteristics. I also detect faint traces of melon sweetness and light citric notes.

T - Initial flavor is quite floral and sweet, with a nice balance of hops and sweet caramel malt. Hop bill is fairly complex overall, with spicy and perfumy notes at the forefront.

M - Medium bodied with modest carbonation and a light syrupy texture. Finishes bittersweet on the palate.

D - Solid Red Ale with a definite floral and perfumy hop character, though the flavor remains well-balanced throughout. Nothing amazing; just a good, easy-drinking Red Ale.
