Our award-winning & world-renowned Le Roar Grrrz wild ale ... a time-intensive, barrel-aged sour beer (Gueuze/Lambic), conditioned on sour cherries and keg-conditioned to perfection (3-4 years per batch). A rare treat.

Wow, what an exceptional craft beer. This beautiful craft really stands out, especially in a region that is not well known for sours. You owe it to yourself to explore this superb brew. Cheers!

Flush pinkish red clear body with a pinkish thick cap. Sweet and tart cherry float upon a sea of oak, funk, whipped creme, candi sugar, green apple, lacto, and phenols. This is one of the tastiest krieks I have ever had. Has the usual trappings of funk, big cherry, oak, phenols, green apple, dry earth, and big lacto, but with the residual sugars is a vanilla whipped cream/Cceme brûlée flair that is intoxicating. Tart and slightly acidic, funk is present but as much as it is smelled and tasted, smooth with an elevated finish, dries out after starting pretty wet. Really nice new world kriek

Pours a dark mahogany with a rose head.

Smells of sour grapes leather and rotten wood.

Sour wine with acrid bitter lemon with a stale nut after taste.

Appearance - The beer poured a derp ruby red color with a white head.

Smell - The nose was dry but had some sweetness from the cherries. There was also a level of tartness.

Taste - At the front, there were tart cherries than were not overly sweet. There was a nice oakiness. It was not overly tart, but had a nice dry oaky finish.

Mouthfeel - There was a nice body that made me think for a moment that I had cherry puree in my glass.

Overall - The beer was not overdone. It was a good version of a kriek.

750ml bottled 3/2/16, drank at home May 2020 with Lisa. Paid way too much for this at $42 I think at CBC in DC.

This is really bad. Big acetic nose - not much but vinegar, might be some sour blackberry in there. Flavor is a bit better but still has a pretty biting acetic finish. It's pretty embarrassing that people freaked out over these beers not that long ago.

L: Looks like cranberry juice with minimal head, retention, or lacing.

S: A tart wine and lactic aroma. One note with little in the way of a cherry aroma.

T: Mostly dry, a little tart, a little fly. Kind of weaker and lacking interest.

F: Bite is from sourness more than the carbonation. It’s a bit dull and flat. Medium weight otherwise.

O: I was less than blown away by the raspberry version but with hundreds of ratings and a 4.44 average I expected a sure bet here. Do me I have had far better and more interesting sours and this fell flat and lame. Don’t understand the hype here. My last Le Roar.

Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma has sweet wood and vanilla notes with fruit preserve juice. Taste is tart and really woody with a background vanilla sweetness. Bitter cherry pit bitterness. Light body with medium carbonation. A bit acetic and harsh but overall it's pretty interesting.

Pours a deep plum, light bubbly head. Aroma has some smooth wood tannin, vine, sour cherry, yeast funk. Taste is well-balanced, not abrasively sour, good expression from the cherry flavor, more oak tannin. Very well done

Clearer and lighter in color than the other fruited versions. Cherries come through nicely in both aroma and taste, even ending with a pleasant cinnamon-like kick. After having heard this had zero Kriek characteristics, that may have lowered my expectations. This was really enjoyable and way, way better than the other ones, though I've yet to have the Framboise. Low carb like the others, but doesn't hinder the beer overall.
