Took a "quick" detour off of I-80 to stop here for an early dinner. Located in the down town area of Williamsport, this quaint building sits on a corner on the main drag.
The interior is skinny...some seats up front with a long bar lining the left side of the building. Fermenting tanks sit behind the bar and add to the decor. Lots of exposed brick, copper, and dark wood...
The food was good/great with a pretty unique menu. The beer selection was better...great for sure. They had a number of selections...ranging from an APA to a Stout.
Our server was friendly and helpful...nothing to complain about here!
A very cool place that I can see getting very crowded during prime drinking hours. Well worth stopping by for a visit!

Ah, the Bullfrog. Such fond memories for me. It was my hangout back when I was in college up there in Williamsport from '96-'98. The food is fabulous, the beer is consistently good with some real gems, and the place is gorgeous! For being crammed downtown on the main drag, they really did a great job setting the place up. With the big copper tank at the entrance, the gorgeous bar, fermenting tanks visible behind the bar, high ceiling, and relaxed casual atmosphere, it's just a place that I feel comfortable. The food is wonderful, huge selection, and it has everything from unique cuisine to bar food. Then another draw for me was the nightlife. They consistently brought in wonderful unknown bands, lots of jazz. I still listen to my Wayne Horvitz and Zony Mash CD I bought after seeing them for free at the Bullfrog Halloween night '97. Great time! And that's the thing, they'd rarely charge cover, and when they did it would only be like $3 to see an amazing band. I know a lot of the staff left the Bullfrog to come down to my town (State College, PA) and open Otto's, but it was good to see that the Bullfrog is still making tasty brews and excellent food and bringing in the killer jams! One of my favorite brewpubs. If you're ever traveling along I-80 through PA, it's worth the detour to stop in.

Stopped by there today. It has been over a decade, and some parts of the town have really changed.... not the Bullfrog. They did change brewmaster, but they still have great beer! Still a wonderful place!

I stopped by for lunch before a flight out of Williamsport mainly to sample the Veritable Grrrz. The atmosphere is fantastic and the crowd fits well. The beer list had some interesting options but I had to have the Veritable Grrrz and then after rewally enjoying it, another. It was fantastic! I had a burger and fries which were decent but nothing special. I really enjoyed my visit and will certainly go back.
