Not a very good Pils but not awful. Hard to say if it was fresh or not as there was no date.
Color was a bit off for a Pils with a small head that dissiapted in mere seconds. Offered a decent Pils smell but no real characteristics stood out.
The taste was a tad sour with high carbonation and a small of amount of what I copnsider to be the Pils taste.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, but if offered I would take it over your average macro brew.

Clear golden beer with average 1-finger head, modest aroma of combination between fresh hops and malt. Very mild and common taste: sweetish malts into tender bitter hops. Palate stays clean . Light body and soft carbonation. Regarding low ABV it's a good beer.

Pours pale golden with modest white head that recedes quickly. Nose is light with some cereal grain aroma. Palate has a light malty sweet, perhaps honeyed flavor. Some hops quickly come in to balance it out, but again they're timid as well. Easy drinking, and thankfully no skunk.

500 ml bottle going into a flute, on to the beer:
Intense gold color with a creamy at first, but eventually bubbly bone-white head. It's holding up well thus far. Eventually it drops down and leave a trickle of lacing. Ths aroma has some sweet malt and some grassy notes. In its flavor, it has a very sweet malty flavor. It hints honeysuckle and a noticable bitter extract. It leans sweet overall. Soft feeling in the mouth.
Not much to talk about in this beer. A little sweet, though still decent.

Half liter amber bottle at 5.1% ABV, purchased for $2 at an ethnic foods store in Hollywood, California. Pours a burnt yellow with a brilliantly bright white head, terrible retention and light linear lacing. A sweet fresh scent greets the olfactory, followed by a very light and mellow mouthfeel and a slightly (though quite lightly) bitter finish. Not very lively, easy to drink, unobtrusive flavor, but really that's about it. At low cost it's not a bad buy for a refreshing easy drinker, though I would rather reach for something else on most ocassions.

Avarage is all I can say. Not too bad. Not too great.
Pours nice with little head that fades quicker than you can pour. Clear golden color (looks slightly pale and opaque) and lacing of left-over head it printer paper white.
Smell offers good Pilsner hop skunkyness and slight honey sweetness. Other than that there is not much to speak of.
Taste is mediocre. Little tinge of the signature pilsner style hops and then it's gone leaving a mellow citrus and grain taste on the palate.
Mouthfeel is smooth and slimy. This beer sticks on the back of your tongue and is heavy for the style with little carbonation.

This is a clear golden colored beer that looks great but falls down a bit with a skimpy white head.
The smell is downright Nobel hop perfume. Spicy, herbal and floral scent from the hops this has a heavenly smell. Pilsner malt is present but doesn't really lend much to the beer except a subtle sweet scent.
The taste begins mildly sweet and with the taste of toasted grain, bitterness is present but not strongly. Nice mild Pilsener taste with a solid and spicy hop finish. This is a little spicy and herbal but it really is a mild mannered beer.
Mouthfeel is good.
A nice and easy to drink Pilsener here that I would recommend to any novice or intermediate Pilsener drinker. Main fault with this beer is that is just not outstanding. This is a good to better than average Pilsner but it is just not one of the best, worth $3 to try though and a nicer pick than Heineken.

Wine Expo in Santa Monica had this in stock on a recent trip. The owner assured me it was fresh and for just over $2 bucks I was willing to give it a whirl regardless. Its anything but golden, rather an orange hue to this czech pils. Weak head and retention and loaded with carbonation.
Sweet soft pale malt hits the palate first and lingers into the aftertaste. On the maltier side of typical czech pils that I've sampled. Earthy, grainy, dry wheat and some corn husk make up the body of this brew. Hops are drying but they really don't make a statement.
Notes: Love the style but unfortunately this one kind of skirts around the edges with a lack of identity. Below Average but drinkable and far from offensive.

The variant available in Sweden got an alcoholic content of 3.5% abv.
The liquid is clear yellow; the white foam forms a surprisingly low head approximately ½ finger high.
The smell is kind of discreet; there are notes of bitter hops and some clean malt. Very simple, but I like it.
The taste is also on the uncomplicated side: Some sweetness from the malt (but not too much) and a growing clean bitterness, maybe with a touch of mint. The aftertaste is medium long with a fresh aromatic bitterness.
As for the carbonation: It is stronger than I had expected with big bubbles. A very refreshing brew for a hot summer night.
Overall, I found this beer uncomplicated, but what it does, it does it good!

Presented in a dark green 33cl bottle, capped with gold foil. Shield on the label with royal lion and castle battlements, graced with barley and hop plants.
Very little info on the beer on the bottle. More information on the importer than the brewer. Freshness date September 2005.
Pours a standard clear pale gold lager colour. Head froths up a bit but quickly settles down to almost nothing. Some carbonation, but less than I've come to expect from this style
Some sweet malt and honey on the nose. Very little hops fragrance. I guess I was expecting more of the sharp organic Czech pils aroma. As it sits it does develop a little more herby fragrance. Actually rather pleasant.
The hops are present on the palate though, moth-puckeringly sharp on entry, mellowing to a metallic sweetness and a hint of basil. Mmm, it's growing on me. Mouthfeel is a little flat, it doesn't really fill out at all, which is a shame, because a richer mouthfeel would have complemented the flavours immensely.
Overall, it does seem to be just another Czech pilsener. While I quite like the Czech style, this doesn't soar above the rest, but nor does it disappoint.
