Checked this out during the 3/19/05 pubhopper with 2 buddies. We had the luck of hitting it right after their Split Thy Skull, and there was still a bunch of barleywine goodies hanging on! nice! Dimly lit with tons of heavy dark wood, some carved, and some diamond patterened stained glass on the windows. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and a bunch of locals hanging at the bar. 2 tv's in the front bar room, and there is a back room with more tables. The place makes me think of a TGIFriday without all the decorations. There are a bunch of mugs that line the one side of the ceiling on hooks, -which I forgot to ask about. I counted 15 taps on the one, 8 on the other, 2 cask, and about 6 Brooklyn. Drafts were $4, $4 cask, $3.50 Barleywine. Very nice selection of draft, and I really did not check out the bottles, but one caught my eye and came home with me -the DeDolle Reserva (brewed 2002). Our server was John, he was just great. Very attentive with samples, dealing with our questions, everything. We never waited more than a moment for a beer or to order our food. The selection of food seems to be breakfast and burgers. We did burgers. Ev got a "regular" cheeseburger, Geoff got the buffalo burger (the meat -not the hotsauce kind) and managed to keep a steady stream of mustard on his cheek to "economize on clean-up", and I had the ostrich burger. All food was very good, my burger was a nice thin patty and not too gamey at all, with just the perfect amount of blue cheese and a good crusty kaiser roll. Casual and friendly, a very enjoyable experience and definately my favorite of the day!

Love Mug's.
Great, pretense free neighborhood bar with an ever changing draft list of quality bees and pretty awesome wings. Dark wood and dimly lit like any good bar should be. The pricing is certainly reasonable, especially when compared to some of the other places in Williamsburg.
The bartenders are all friendly and knowledgable. John rules.
