12 oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass. 120 Calories, 9.6g Carbs, 1.0g Protien, 0.0g fat. Best Before 092410.

A - Well, it certainly is a light beer, but it definitely doesn't come close to presenting itself wit the same attitude the bottle does. It's clear golden yellow with a low and poorly retained white head. One small arch of lace is left.

S - Vegetal corn and rice overshadow the light pale malts with almost no hops at all. Really not appealing but also generally unoffensive unless you take offense to corn and/or rice. A tiny metallic touch appears on the back end.

T - I'm not exaggerating when I say there is nothing but a LIGHT flavor of corn and rice. It's void of any beer resemblance which makes it absolutely pointless to drink.

M - This beer is just about as light as they come. In reference to the body, think 'water'. With a sharp carbonation bite to the finish, there is so little here it's almost indescribable.

D - A few sips is all I need to confirm the uselessness of this beer's existence. No flavor, no body, and still the same caloric content as a Guinness. Waste of calories, waste of time, drain pour.

Drink-by date was 08-10-2010. Bought for $5.00 on clearance at a local store.

Pours to a decent but small white head that lasts and laces and pale gold-straw color with tons of bubbles. Aroma is very weak with only grain and sulfur detected. Flavor is also very weak with no discernible character except weak grain and some odd bitterness. There is no aftertaste, thank god. Mouthfeel is thin and bubbly and overall, this is a piss poor product. Even though this beer is technically out-of-date, it is only that by 10 days and I can't imagine it was much better fresh.

A: It pours basically clear. In the glass it has a champaign color, with lots of white head. The beer is pretty clear as well.

S: Not too pleasant at all. Very sweet, but in a bad way. Smells like a lot of rice and sugar went into making this. No hop smell, but that actually is to style.. The smell isn't pleasant at all.

T: Tart and watery with a hint at malt, backed my rice. Even the wife says: "It tastes like water."

M: It's bubbly, and watery. That's about it. It doesn't have the same high level of carbonation typical of the style.

D: Death or Light beer.. One would certainly have to consider their options if this was the light beer.

Spotted this and the "Ed Hardy Premium Beer" at Tiger Qwikmart in Clemson, SC for about $2 a bottle...I needed to know

Perhaps the lightest beer I've come across. Lists the nutritional info on the label, its going to be a long one. 120 calories, 9.6g carbs...not exactly a breakfast stout or anything

A: Pours a completely transparent lemon color that produces a fizzly carbonated head that retains for about 30 seconds, then retreats. Lacing along the glass is OK, but nothing special.

S: Skunky, metallic, toasted corn smell. No hops, no malts, just really cheaply made and highly priced.

T: So boring...nothing complex at all, corn, cereal, and wheat are the subtle notes that I can pick up. Slightly skunky, and finishes corny.

MF/D: Lightest body ever, the carbonation is manageable (others tend to overdo it)

Overall, the "Ed Hardy Premium Beer" was lighter than this, so I am confused. Also, $2 a bottle is a little pricey for this crap. Looks like Landshark has a new competitor.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light yellow color, with a thin white head that fades very quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of light malts, adjuncts and a very faint touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with a strong adjunct (corn, rice?) flavor that is followed by a light malt sweetness. There's a very faint hops presence that you would expect from this type of beer. It's not very well-balanced and there also an odd taste to it that I can't place. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp but not smooth at all, light body, medium-to-high carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

D: Not flavorful of tasty in any respect, not too filling since there isn't much to it, very mild kick, this is flat out not a god beer and certainly not one that I would want to drink again.

Pours very light straw yellow with thin head that eventually disappears - typical light beer appearance.

The smell is almost nothing - some buttered corn, maybe a hint of husk... Nothing, really...

The taste is very mild..some buttered corn... a hint of sweetness...

It has a fizzy, light-body.

A replacement for club soda I suppose. Only get it if you want the cool label...better "light" beers out there...

12 oz. can into glass pint.
40°F

$1.50 / ea.

A: Brightest, yellowest body possible with a big loose head that quickly dissipates leaving no lacing, and a thin bubbly cover.

S: Sweet apple aroma with a hint of phenolic spice in the background. Not bad, but pretty weak. No noticeable hop aroma. Pretty standard stuff for the style.

T: Grainy backbone with a bit of sweetness. Tastes a bit like corn. and there is a bit of a medicinal quality. Very light hop bitterness, but not as clean and I would expect.

M: Light body with very high carbonation. Crisp. Standard, but nothing special.

D: Drinkable, in quantity. Inoffensive, crisp, and fairly clean overall. It is fermented barley pop. Problem? If I'm going to spend this much on what is essentially a macro, I'm not going to buy more than one.

O: Taste's like a macro, but costs the same as a micro. The worse of both worlds.

Appearance: clear light yellowish color with almost no head despite a vigorous pour. Carbonation bubbles show its not dead.

Smell: no detectable aroma except for some grassiness.

Taste: weak malt base with hints of grass and no discernable bitterness.

Mouthfeel: light in body. Lightly crisp from start to finish. Clean aftertaste.

Drinkability: this one was a drain pour as there was no flavor. If you want a light beer have a Sam Adams Light.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass.

A: Clear yellow kind of soapy looking... Poured hard and got about 2 fingers worth of fluffy white head. Settled quickly to a layer of foam, with decent lacing.

S: Wow very little here... maybe wet mashed up corn. Not much else here.

T: Taste like it smells... corn and nothing else....

M: Yellow carbonated water.... Very light...

D: I can tell the ABV is low, so you could drink a ton of these but why would you... Nothing here you have not had before and for cheaper...

Feels like a mix of any light US beer and Mexican beer... Combine them and you get the same... No much. Save your money and go elsewhere for your light beer.

Pours a clear golden yellow color with a slight fluffy head. The color closly resembles urine. The smell is of processed corn and that is faint at best. The taste is very weak, it kinda taste like dirty water, there is a hint of corn and then a bite of a skunky flavor. The mouthfeel is little carbonation. Overall there is nothing to make you want to finish one bottle let alone more than one of these.

A- Clear golden yellow. head is white, retains pretty well compared to others in style.
S- Light vegetal aroma. Really not a lot going on here, but it's not offensivly bad.
T- A bit more flavor here. Pretty basic grain and vegetal flavors.
M- Quite light with somewhat prickly carbonation. Not much worse than many light lagers.
O- It's a pretty standard light lager. Nothing worth searching out but it goes down quite easily.

It is a golden color with a decent head and tons of bubbles almost like a champagne.

It smells like bread, with a definite skinniness to it.

The taste is awful it taste skunked with way to much carbonation. Only way this is bearable is if it is ice cold. The only good thin is this horrid flavor is gone as fast as it came, so you are not stuck with an after taste.

I say the drinkabiltiy is low while I will never have another of these ever again. I must finish this one man law dictates it.

Thanks Cdkrenz for this sample. Poured into a pint glass this brew is extremely pale wheat color, very transparent, with a very thick snow white 2 finger head that lasted quite well with extremely active carbonation. The aroma is very malty and has a hint of dough and sort of a grassiness as well. The taste is very thin and light with some malt and a little lemon and the slightest earthy hop finish. The carbonation is too heavy for the thin and light taste of this brew. On a hot day this would probably be refreshing, but in the cold winter it doesn't have enough weight and flavor to satisfy.

So at three dollars a six pack, this is basically charged the same as water and there is a reason why. The appearance was nearly clear with almost no head. The smell had a bit of rice and other wheat characteristics but not much if any. The taste was very bland with some rice flavor but basically turning into water with the mouthfeel. At least it was only three dollars.

A - Crystal clear yellow body with a thick, yet light, pure white head standing just over an inch and having really good stamina. For a light beer it looks great with solid lacing to boot.

S - Slight soapy scent over a malty base.

T - Very basic flavor here except that it seems even lighter than most light beers. It has a grainy taste to it and a slight push toward what may be hops. It is difficult to determine because the hop taste is so distant. For a light beer I have to admit, its rather good.

M - Coarse and abrasive throughout. I imagine this beer must be served ice cold, which doesn't help the texture.

~ I'm judging this beer purely against the likes of other light brews. I said before and I'll say it here again, for a light beer I have to admit, its rather good.

poured into my sam adams perfect pint glass. sorry glassware. michael jackson's black or white on uncomfortably loud in the backround.

pours a pale straw yellow. very translucent, even for the style. very very fizzy and thin. looks like the urine of a hydrated person. fizzy white head.

The smell isn't really yeasty like I expected. very muted sweet corn. adjunct and something that is making me a bit quezy. the smell is making me lose my appetite? I just farted. I give my fart a 1.5.

Tastes like carbonated water. little to no flavor profile. adjunct, caulk, residual sugars, hint of sweetness and nothing. maybe some grain as it warms. little aftertaste though.

It's douche in a can! I can see you pounding about ten of these in between jager bombs.

Really, I don't understand the point. I am not normally opposed to a good Adjunct Lager. I mean, it's not deep or complex, but a well done one - say, Budweiser or Miller Light - can be a pleasant and refreshing. But this? I don't even know what these people are thinking - this beer is god awful, pointless, a waste of perfectly good water.

Pours barely, slightly yellow with a lively head that falls away almost immediately. There is a little stream of carbonation from the bottom, but you could just as well be looking at slightly discolored soda water. The aroma is slight, but what does come up is unpleasant - a little sour. The flavor is completely nothing. I really mean that - nothing. No grain, no hops, no sign you are drinking anything but water. The only hint that something is amiss is the finish, which is just a little flat and sour. Otherwise, nothing. The mouthfeel is a little prickly, suggesting that the substance in the glass is, in fact, carbonated.

Avoid. Completely. Forever.

Poured from the brown bottle into a clear pint glass. Artwork on the label shows a knife shoved through a skull...kinda cool tattoo looking artwork.

A - Crystal clear yellow body with a fluffy white head that recedes to a white cap after a few minutes. The head left a decent veil of lacing down the inside of the glass.

S - Corn, corn and some more corn. Did I say it smelled like corn? Actually, there might be a little corn husk there as well.

T & M - The taste really followed the smell, lots 'o corniness here. Very light watery body with excessive carbonation. This is kinda like Miller Lite in a pretty bottle.

D - I didn't bother to look at who brewed this beer when I picked it up. The label and the fact I hadn't heard of it before sold me on the purchase. I'll know better to pay attention to detail in the future.

To be fair, this beer could be easily swilled if there was nothing else available. I would go out of my way to make a beer run and pick something better up though.
