Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass.
A bit murky and copper filled amber to rust brown body. Two finger creamy tan head, but barely manages two fingers off the pour. Seems to settle nicely to a simple top. Pretty basic, not even much noticeable carbonation, slightly lifeless but otherwise ok.
Aroma is kind of wet and grainy with some classic touches. Grainy and very light crusty brown bread but drier and more towards flour. Hints of some sweet graham cracker but with a chalky bit of an angle. Some slight fruity notes bouncing between esters and hop, but seems to lean more towards the yeast component, then turns to an almost grapefruit to tropical.
Mouthfeel is just lousy a bit, and there is just not much going on here. Malt depth completely lost on a watery body and flat mineral carbonated like finish. Rocky aftertaste and not much malt flavor going on here at all. Some dry biscuit but very hard to pick out on the palate. Cola like finish a bit on the sweetness as well. Weird finish, and flavor palate, almost like a malt flat soda.
Bizarre and not really working for me here.

Clean copper, beige head, ok.
Caramel, chestnut honey, candy sugar. And a little bit of hop.
In the taste honey and sugar (too much). A light citrussy hop (too light).
Again honey in the aftertaste, light citric, too much sugar.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Teku glass.
4.25/3.5/3/3.5/3/3.25
Two fingers of long-lasting head top a clear, ruby-amber beer with mild effervescence.
Smells malty, fruity, and sweet.
Round, refreshing, and apple-sweet, with a lightly offish aftertaste reminiscent of grain or lager. The aftertaste is pretty blegh, but the actual beer is kinda nice.
Overall, a sweetish, malty beer to knock back in swigs. Not sure how this is a pale ale in any sense of the word, but ok? Would not have again except in preference to BMC.

Amber copper with no carbonation and a finger of beige head.
Smells richly of caramel, hard water, a slight citrus like a weak orange candy.
Very caramel forward, biscuit, malt, little english style hops to finish it off.
Medium, biscuity body, medium to low carbonation.
This really is like an English bitter, at least much more in the realm of a British style than the listed APA. Enjoying it as such. Found in Chiang Mai, drank here July 21st, 2016.

A- Pours darker than I expected- a walnut brown . Finger of head and some weak dotted lacing-. Hazy too.
S- malty- so some malt syrup. A bit if earthy hops.
T- More flavor than I expected. Lots of malt. Caramel. Earthy and slightly piney hops. Kinda fresh and dank at the same time which is wierd.
M- pretty easy drinking. Better cold- there's some oxudationy flavor that comes out as it warms.
O- not bad. Maybe the best Mexican beer I've had.

From notes taken 03/02/16:
A moderately clear darker shade of copper with creamy tan colored head, fluffy and rocky with great retention. Alright lacing. Caramel, dates, toast, tea, and resin on the nose. Not as sweet on the palate as nose led me to expect, very toasty, caramelization sans much sugar, hops are resinous, leafy, herbal, and close to being spicy, with pepper from both/either hops and/or alcohol. Essentially, a dry, watered down Amber Ale. Light in body and watery, slick, sloshy, and softly effervescent.

Kind of a forgettable pale ale but it is certainly a pale ale. Pours a little dark, smell is of some hops but more malt, and taste is some malt balanced with hops and a little bit of citrus hop flavor thrown in there; malty aftertaste. For a beer hecho en México, it's not too bad. Sitting at a bar in Juárez, seeing my choices be Tecate, Corona, Dos Equis, or this, I would choose this is it would have more hop presence and overall flavor. The more I drink it though, the more it is getting a little old. Cool artwork on the label and on the (twist off) cap.
