My home bar in college! Joined the beer club and reached "elite" status in no time! Turned me on to craft beer! Great food. With only 25 taps and probably 100 bottles, the beer selection is limited due to the size of the establishment, but the other locations are lined with taps and beer coolers are filled with bottles! This is the original, so it has that old school feel. Every location, including this one, is a great place to watch a game! I call this location my hometown bar! It was the place where everyone literally knew my name.

Atmosphere is not stellar - it's basically a sports bar with a good beer selection. It is what it is though, certainly not a bad atmosphere.
Quality is alright. Standard pint glasses for everything I ordered, but the pours were done well.
Service was good. The bartender had a good knowledge of what they had and what they did not have. Did not have to wait to get drinks, but that probably had a lot to do with the low number of people there.
Selection is pretty good. They had some rarer than normal offerings, including McChouffe, and they did have Sierra Nevada Anniversary. Not an absurdly large selection, but they did have some good stuff there.
Food is good. I just about always get the wings, and they never disappoint.
Overall it's a solid bar in the Highlands area. I'll probably go back there on a semi-regular basis just because it's so close by. That being said Decatur is only a ten minute drive so I most likely won't frequent it a whole lot. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Taco Mac was more of a sports bar than a true beer bar. I'd kill for one of these in Baton Rouge, or New Orleans. Its a big open restaurant with lots of TV's and everything sports on the walls that you can imagine.
The beer selection was pretty good. Had lots of great local beer, along with some other great beers from texas and maine. The Victory Monkey Triple was great on tap. The local sweetwater beers were also excellent. They had about 20-30 taps of a wide variety of domestics and imports all of which were fresh and served in proper glassware.
The food was somewhere between good and average. It was solid but nothing to rave about. The food reminded me of a little bit better Chilis. But I guess that's what you can expect for a sports bar.
Overall it was a pretty solid place to drink beer and watch the LSU Tigers or New Orleans Saints games (yea i'm a homer). However if you are in the mood for just a good beer drinking time then I wouldn't recommend it. This place is great to catch a ballgame, grab a burger, and knock down a few pints, but by no means a beer heaven.

I was able to stop by here during my last visit to Atlanta.
We sat outside to take advantage of some very nice early May weather. I liked the set-up of their patio. The tall tables are just large enough for food and beers. It is a great place to sit and watch the cars and foot traffic go by.
The inside is a bit on the small side, but I thought the place had some character. I can see why it is so poplar with the neighborhood folks. I noticed a pretty wide range of ages (tykes to seniors), which to me signifies that they are doing something right. One minor draw back is the small washrooms. They need to expand those if they can. Parking was also a bit tight.
Our waitress was decent but service was a bit slow. The food was just average. I was hoping for a little more, but it will at least keep the beer munchies away.
They have a pretty extensive beer list, but my group stuck to the tap selections. We had the Sweet Water, the Terrapin Rye, Abita Amber & the Dogfish 60 minute. All the beers were fresh tasting. The only downside is the chilled glasses that they bring out with each new pitcher.
I would have no trouble returning for a repeat visit.
