Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Reviewed live.
A- Poured a very thin, soapy off-white head. Retention fades quickly. Large bubbles, possibly from the high ABV. Nice coppery color with excellent clarity.
S- Brandy, caramel, brown sugar, raisins and dates. Dark and sweet with a distinct booziness.
T- Brandy, tobacco, burnt sugar, dried dark fruits. Powerful flavor. Knock ya on your butt. The cognac-like flavor is strong, as is the strange tobacco sense of earthy, dark flavors. Complex, strong flavor.
M- Wet and sticky feel with resin-y aftertastes.
O- This is a strange beer. Not easy to drink, but worth the effort.
