Pours out a dark slightly hazy reddish amber with a small tan head that drops to mostly a ring around the glass.
Smell. A rich and potent flavor full of creamy dark fruits and is warming. Fruits smell like they have been drenched in alcohol for a while.
Taste. Flavor is full with a malt dominance and is certainly on the sweeter side. There is a yeast flavor i really get, could be part of the creamy character i got from the aroma. Dark fruits are still there, with a little chocolate. As it warms the flavor of leather becomes more distinct. After taste is spiced with a black pepper sensation.
Mouthfeel. Body is quite full. Carbonation is at a nice level for the style, as it is tasting a bit more fresh than others like it.
Overall, I think it is an easier drinking extreme beer. One i will be buying when wanting a good heavy beer, but not wanting an ris, quad, or others that have their own distinct characteristics.
