Apearance - Pours a dark mohagany with brick red highlights and a thick 2 finger tan head that stsicks around ofr a while and leaves some impressive lacing.
Nose- Malty and very sweet nose. Dark caramel, stone fruits, grape moalsses and vanilla are all present as is ethanol.
Palate- Intensely sweet, but not cloying. Stone fruits, chocolate, brown sugar and molasses. The chocolate becomes more prominent as it warms. The alcohol shows through and brings a brandy-like character to this brew.
Mouthfeel- Thick and syrupy, but the carbonation level does a lot to make this drinkable.
Drinkability- Definitely a sipper, but not too hard to put down fresh. I can't wait to see waht some age does to it.
