From bottle to pint glass. Nice cloudy amber color. Ivory three-finger head holds firm. Extensive lacing.
A rank straw aroma with prominent hop and malt. Not entirely pleasant.
Taste much better than aroma. A wallop of bitter hops that doesn't linger as long as you would think after initial taste -- fades rather fast. Malt prominent. A weak hint of citrus but overall the bitter taste overwhelms all other undertones.
Mouthfeel is good with pleasant, moderate, body. A bit oily after-feel undoubtedly from the strong hop ingredient.
Drinkibility good; goes down smooth. Lack of bitter aftertaste leaves one rapidly grasping for more.
Overall impression: A good IPA but flavor not entirely eclectic -- rather un-original. Worth trying and I'd say worth trying again as well, but this is not among the top IPAs I've tasted.
