This is a decent pilsner, but far from the best I've had. Pours to a golden straw color, fairly hazy for the style. Not much carbonation to speak of. Decent head with a fairly weak retention and lacing.

The smell is ok. Smells like pilsner malt (surprise!) with a hint of sulfury lager yeast notes and floral hops. Notes of berries underlying, which actually is kind of a surprise for a lager.

The taste is actually quite good. Just a touch of malt sweetness with some bready, grainy pilsner malt. Finishes with a nice floral bouqet with very little bitterness.

Quite dry with a crisp carbonation. Has a clean finish with very little aftertaste. Pretty good. Quite refreshing and easy to drink. Kind of a departure from the pils I'm used to, but it's not bad. I would drink it again, but probably won't buy a whole sixer.

Wow, just keep coming back to this one. Poured into a shorty. Has a lively pumpkin glow. Inviting for sure. But what really makes it special is the citrus aroma. It's outstanding with every sip (or gulp). Non of the mustyness that comes with many pills. And the taste is exceptional. Scrimshaw takes you on a nice bright flavor ride before pulling back to a clean satisfying finish. Could drink this one all the time -- wait, i do!

Pleasantly surprised by this one. Clean drinking and tasting pilsner. Minimal lacing, clear golden color and barley aroma. Just like a pilsner should be. I could drink this one all day. Carbonation was a little on the fizzy side, but did not detract from the experience.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: medium golden hue with no haze, a moderate effervescence and a thin finger of creamy white foam. Not too bad.

Smell: lightly sweet malt aroma with a good grainy character and a nice dose of noble hops. Hops are a little herbal but not strikingly so; I think this is quite a good example of the style.

Taste: lightly grainy malt character with a lot less hops than the aroma. Bitterness is quite low. Not bad, but I would have really liked the flavor to track a bit more with the aroma.

Mouthfeel: light body with a very good carbonation and a very nice creaminess. Quite good for the style.

Overall: this is a nice, refreshing Pilsner. It's perhaps not as crisp as I'd like, but that is a bit more in-style to a German Pils rather than a Czech one.

Poured from a bottle, drank from a seidel. Drank at just above fridge temperature (45F?)

Appearance: Beautiful golden amber colour with plenty of luscious foamy white head. Visible carbonation. Probably couldn't get any better.

Smell: Sweet, delicious malt with lots of estery banana, berry, and other fruit flavours. A tasty and refreshing smelling floral hoppiness compliments the fruitiness. Amazing.

Taste: A little less prominent than the smell, but still solid. Light malt but complex hops. Very good example of the pilsner style.

Mouthfeel: Frothy and full feel, leaves a nice aftertaste, and no alcohol taste. Very smooth and satisfying, and refreshing as well.

Overall: Best pilsner I've had up to this point. Excellent session beer, tasty and refreshing especially in a warm summer evening. Very well priced as well.
