A prime example of a classic pilsner. This has an exceptionally clear straw yellow color. The head is nice and white, not very thick or clinging, but it does stay with the beer.

There's a pleasant and also classic pils aroma. Lightly malty, slight earthy hop smell.

The taste is softly malt-like and bitter with a medium, effervescent body. Finishes clean and dry.

Well worth looking for if you're in the mood for a classic pilsner. Soft and subtle in character, yet completely hitting the mark in the style.

Glass - Pilsner

A - A gold colored brew with big visible C02. It created a massive 3-finger head on a some what gentle pour. The head seemed to stick around well for a Lager, and it left some very nice lacing on my glass.

S - I get musky Lager yeast notes with grassy hop characteristics. It smells a bit dry with a general grain aroma as well. Not much else.

T - Upfront is a nice floral, grassy hop flavor that unfolds into a well rounded grain and sweetness. If finishes with mild bitterness and soft dryness.

M - Moderately crisp with a smooth feel and a lite-medium body.

O - Overall I like this beer. It's not over carbonated or sweet, and it's very drinkable to me. There's not really anything I can say bad about it, although I probably would prefer a Prima Pils over this. I'd buy this again though, pretty tasty. Cheers!

glass: Pilsner glass

appearance: golden color, lots of bubbles 2-finger frothy head that momentarily looks impressive. soapy lacing.

smell: yeast, light doughy malt, slightly fruity (pineapple) and zesty hops.

taste: yeasty, crackery malt, light lemon zest.

mouthfeel: very carbonated and a bit watery.

overall: there's a lack of bittering and flavoring hops when it comes to my ideal pilsner. The carbonation could be toned down a bit too. an OK beer at best.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass, as usual with north coast, hidden freshness date. This pours a nice golden color with a white head. The smell is a nice crisp pilsner, grass, hops, malts. The feel is light and crisp. The taste is some of the same, nice and crisp, a fine pilsner.

Poured from the bottle into a Pilsner style glass.

A real nice simple white head, foamy, with minor retention and somewhat whipped character. Head falls slowly onto a golden light lemon slightly opaque body. Very slow rising carbonation creeps up. Looks good.

A good mix of doughy and crisp bread malts. Sense of rolled baked white bread. Fresh. Fresh lemon and juice with the bread action give a sweetness not unlike lemon meringue pie.

Taste brings a slight dull but nice lemon hop bitter. Palate matches the nose nicely, giving to a fresh white bread taste, and matching lemon sweetness. Carbonation seems a little more subdued, but still gives hint of crispness, much like soda somewhat but not flat.

Overall, a solid Pilsner quite nice. It's been a little warm today so I am enjoying this one, feels right.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

Pours a slightly hazy medium yellow with a 1.5 finger head which settles into a nice cap over the beer. Good lacing as well.

Aroma is sweet malt with some honey detectable. Not much in the way of hops.

The taste is much like the smell. Sweet malt along with a touch of bready grain. A small hint of grassy hops is detectable however bitterness is low to moderate. Finishes fairly clean.

This is a good, clean, thirst quenching beer. I would have liked a touch more bitterness and a little less sweetness but I would seek it out again.
