A- Ruedrich's Red Seal Ale is reddish amber in color and pours with a small head that quickly disappears.
S- This beer is plain smelling and even with swirling the glass I can't get much aroma from it.
T- Malty with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. IT seems like the bitterness is kind of forced and doesnt really flow well with the brew.
M- the mouthfeel here attacks the palate. My initial tasting was when the beer was frosty cold from the fridge, but once the beer warmed, the mouthfeel became a bit creamier and somewhat more enjoyable.
Although this isn't a style I try often, I have to say this beer really didn't seem like a finished product to me. The hop character is confusing in this brew and seems forced upon the palate. Although I'm a big fan of north coast, I probably won't try this one again.
