Clear orange amber with a fine tan head with little retention. For a red pale ale it's neither red nor pale. A very crisp hop aroma mirrors the start with good floral hops that disappears in a quick spicy moment. Malts are nondescript and it finishes with a watery feel that somehow leaves dry. The redeeming factor is the balance and hop spiciness but there's not enough to keep me coming back and after awhile it becomes bland.
I just can't get into this one. The first sip shows a lot of promise but it disintegrates quickly. I would like to try it on tap sometime and hope for a different effect.
