Pours a nice one finger head of straw color. Head dissipates very rapidly leaving a rather thick lacing on glass sides.
Color a nice red amber
Aroma a pleasant citrus with malt background.
Underlying bitter hop taste that doesn't linger long but is a refreshing counterpart to the beer's heavy carbonation. Citrus undertones prominent. Hint of malt.
Mouthfeel of moderate texture with heavy carbonation -- about right for a strong red ale.
Drinkability very good. Crisp, refreshing, easy to put down. This is a good ale that I would say has borderline IPA flavor. Very refreshing.
Indeed, a fine American Red Amber Ale.
