My favorite two styles of beer are IPA and Belgian. I poured a bottle in a tulip.
A - Nice clean golden colour. Light head and lacing. More lacing than head. Looks like a nice refreshing beer, one to be drunk on a summer day.
S - Not over powering on the nose, but the first smell is the yeast, combined with a banana-esk smell. Slight fruitty notes come through, but mostly yeast and banana.
T - Clean refreshing taste. Taste like it smells. Yeast, banana and fruit. Almost no hop taste. For a 7.6% I almost taste no alchool. I could drink this at anytime of the year, but it makes a great spring or summer ale that is better tasting and more balanced than most spring and summer ales.
M - High carbonated and light mouthfeel. It only comes in a 4 pack but I could easily drink a 6 pack.
O - Great belgian golden ale. One of the best american belgian style ales around. I first had one on tap and everyone at the tap ordered one and loved it. I prefer the strong belgian ales but if I am gonna order a golden ale I am ordering this one.

Poured bottle into New Belgium globe
A-The appearance has a hazy orange slightly golden looking colored body with less than a half fingered white foamy head that quickly disapates. Decent lacing.
S-The smell has Belgian yeastiness up front with a nice allocation of spices to compliment the aroma.
T-The taste is spicy yet somewhat sweet and a nice complimentary sort of under-shadowed sort of "sweet" tones to give a very nice sort of spicy/sweet/dry aftertaste with a quick dry finish.
M-The mouthfeel has a light to medium body and the carbonation is good for a Belgian Strong Ale.
O-Overall one of my favorite American Belgium Strong Ales. A must try!
