Pours a hazy orange with a slight head and some thin lacing. Looks welcoming.
Smells sweet. Fermented fruits and some sweet malts. Also smells a bit spiced. Coriander?
Tastes is similar to the nose. It's very sweet, probably from the malts, and certainly spiced, probably from the coriander. The sweetness is like fermented peaches. The alcohol gives it a kick at the end and has an overall warming quality.
Mouthfeel is good. This finishes wet and the sweet aftertaste lingers for a bit, which I did not mind. Overall drinkibility is good. It's a medium bodied brew, and it goes does down very smooth.
Notes: Not my favorite style by a long shot, but a very well crafted ale, and one that I imagine stands up very nicely to the Belgian exports.
