Presentation: 12 oz. stubby bottle poured into tulip glass.
Appearance: Hazy orange. Pours with nice off-white head that fades to a creamy foam, leaving behind a fairly decent lacing.
Smell: Fruity upfront: elements of peach and mango. Some citrusy hops detected, along with some lemon peel and corriander notes. Sweet malts are also noticeable. A musky Belgian yeast-like aroma is also clearly evident.
Taste: Spicy, with some tart, lemony hops. Spicy corriander and pepper are also noticed. There is a rather sweet, nectary, fruity taste upfront - primarily peach and banana. This is coupled with a musky Belgian yeast profile. A nice smoothness is present. The finish is rather sweet, though quite flavorful and nice.
Overall: This is one of the best American, Belgian-style golden ales I've ever had. Nearly flawless!
