A – Eyes are met with a beer which might disguise itself as a hefeweizen or a saison were it not permeated by such clarity and uniformly bleached-satsuma hues. Somehow slightly insipid though. A vanguard of furious silver-white micro-pearls surges upwards, dissipating rapidly as it crests the rim of the glass.
S – Fresh lemon, immature yeast, dewy grass-clippings from a clear and cool early morning gardening episode. Moist straw.
T – Follows the nose mainly: the wheatiness is interrupted by the arrival of a modicum of floral hoppiness mid-sip but, like a pebble tossed into a stream, vanishes as soon as it appears, leaving a rather feeble finish.
M – Pretty much on point; healthy effervescence, refreshing yet perhaps a tad fragile.
O - If I had to describe this beer in four words: almost but not quite. The most impressive thing about this beer for me was that it camouflaged its 7.6% abv., so effectively. There are much better authentically Belgian and/or Belgian-style offerings to be had.
