A: Pours with the usual Nitro flare, with khaki froth falling to the bottom of the glass. Head retention is top notch, lasting over 20min. The body is jet black, and opaque, no matter the lighting.
S: Bouquet is well presented, with notes of chocolate, coffee, and demerara sugar.
T: Ol' Raspy is semi-sweet with notes of dark chocolate, cream, and demerara.
M: Full bodied and creamy without being sticky or sloppy. Rich, yet delicate.
D: I have always loved the Old Rasputin, but the nitro offering is a great improvement. The bottled version is slightly hoppier than it should be, and the nitro both mutes this, and enhances the mouthfeel. Overall, this is a must have if you ever see it at your local pub.

Okay, here goes.
I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance was a jet black color with a thin half finger of off white to slight tan foamy head. There was a gentle spider web lacing sticking but ending up sliding a bit into the beer.
The smell had some nice roasty to sweet chocolates with a decent amount of light roasty coffee.
The taste was mainly sweet with a nice roasty chocolate quality to it. There is also a nice long dry chocolate aftertaste with a very satisfying sweet finish.
The mouthfeel seems to be fairly creamy and sweet.
Overall, so glad to have this again tonight for a nice touch of a revisit and that I have three more of these to cherish.

Aroma: Sweet, bitter, dark chocolate with hints of licorice and alcohol
Appearance: Pours rich black with enormous head that settles into a nice, tan finger of frothy luxury
Taste: Medium sweetness up front giving way to a lightly bitter aftertaste
Palate: Light bodied with a thin oily texture, finishing with a long bitter finale.
Overall: A very good imperial stout
