A: Completely impenetrable black body with a lovely thick beige head comprising tightly packed foam and larger bubbles.
S: Very pungent hoppy fruity fudge. Has a kind of sherbet effervescent quality.
T: A concentrated smokey coffee flavour, with some satisfying sweetness, and a cloying kind of tangy bitterness on the roof of the mouth. There's also a muddy, earthy hop quality. Slightly too bitter in the aftertaste but there's also loads of upfront lemonade. Getting woody spiceness from the foamy dregs.
O: Maybe I'm too demanding, but this is not the god-like definitive beer it's hyped up to be but it is certainly a good stout none-the-less.
