This German style Hefeweizen is our most popular beer. Brewed with 60% white wheat malt, and 40% pilsner malt. A special yeast strain contributes the characteristic fruity, spicy, clove, and banana flavors that make this style unlike any other. Just a touch of German hops provides enough balance to make it an extremely smooth beer to drink. Woodstock Wheat is unfiltered giving it a cloudy appearance.

This, in my opinion, was a very enjoyable beer. Fairly light in color, slightly reminds me of a witbeer. When poured correctly has a nice just off-white head that does not last very long, but does not disappear too quickly either. Very smooth brew with a very nice mouthfeel.

On-tap at the brewpub. Man, this beer is really bland, like American pale wheat ale-bland. There's a little wheat grain flavor and a creamy mouthfeel, but this beer is a long ways away from a classic German hefe. Sure, it looks the part - hazy yellow with a white head - but that's where the real similarities end. I wouldn't bother here.
