Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a cloudy golden straw with a fine two finger white head and lacing. Looks like a classic witbier. Aroma of wheat, orange and lemon with a hint of spice. Taste is very nice, wheat, yeast, orange and coriander. Ends a bit abruptly but cleanly with a slight hop and spice flavor. Light bodied but nice mouth feel from carbonation. Very refreshing and true to style. Very nice witbier.

Pour is a hazy pale yellow with thin bubbly head. Nose is good, light peppery, decent yeast tones, and strong lemon behind. Taste isn't quite as bright, the lemon is more subtle but lingers throughout. The yeast is more present and a zesty pepper note. Body is a bit oily and full, carbonation is extremely high and the finish is rather dry.

A: Poured a yellowish orange color witha nice white cap, bubbles and light lacing sticks around

S: Belgian yeast provides a light, very light pepper, some banana and orchard style lighter fruits

T: Upfront you get some fruits; light orange zest with a minimal tropical notes and pears, a touch of apple with a light pepperness but very light pepperness. This beer has a nice wheat and light fruit base which is tasty and refreshing

M: Light bodied, yeasty and some citrus and wheat hang onto the palate

O: Not to shabby, refrshing and hits the spot when its hot.

12 oz can into a pint glass.

Pours a slightly hazed gold, with 1-2 fingers of foamy bright-white head. This maintains a thin layer of fizzy froth, which skims the surface and leaves back some sudsy patches of lacing. The aroma is airy feeling in the nose with spices, underlying lemon notes, wheat, and some softer fruit flavors. This has a nice flavorful evenness to it in the nose.

The taste is nice and quenching feeling up front, with notes of lemon and a light rind-like bitterness. Soft fruit and fresh grains work their way in off the sides, while a flush of zesty spices linger into the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, maybe a little lighter, with some prickliness on the tongue that spreads out across the back into a creamy and easy feel.

This was a nice take on an American Witbier with a pleasant amount of flavor coming from that fruit character. The easy drinking body on this was only the icing on the cake. I was really surprised by this one. Good job Maui!

12oz, 3/28/12
Stone pint

A: Pours a extremely cloudy orangey yellow color. There is carbonation but it doesn't produce any head retention. Or lacing for that matter.

S: Coriander, clove, orange peel, Belgian yeast...the mark of a wit beer. Smells light and airy.

T: It's pretty light and refreshing. On the tip of the tongue you get that coriander spice note. Typical to the style. In the middle of the mouth, that Belgian yeast flavor comes up. Also, it's met by the sweetness from the orange fruit. Mandarin oranges have that notable sweetness.

M: Light bodied. Some prickly carbonation.

Appearance: Cloudy straw color with white head and light lacing.

Smell: Lemon and fresh grain aromas are most prominent. Nice and refreshing.

Taste: Follows the nose closely with a refreshing lemon flavor on the front end. A bit of spice reminds me that it is a wit, especially after the lemon flavor subsided.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied and crisp. Just a tad too much carbonation for me.

Overall: Nice witbier that keeps it simple. Lawnmowing beer for sure.

Pours a cloudy opaque orange-brown with a thin white head. Need to pour about 7/8ths then swirl the can to get the particulates out. Darker than most Whites, looks like a Hefeweizen. There is a pretty fade from more brown to more yellow bottom to top. Aroma is unsweetened orange/pineapple, coriander, and wheat. Taste follows aroma - something like pineapple juice over Wheaties. Nice blend of the fruit, wheat, and spice. The finish is pretty flat. Needs some sweetness or more carbonation.

poured straight from a can [thanks to Tyler Jensen!]....a bright, Bell's Golden Yellow with very little head... smells somewhat sweet, a bit of straw mixed with a bit of fruit, maybe vanilla? but a very refreshing smell... tastes equally nice...This is actually the perfect tasting summer beer, as it opens up and makes the mouth smile right away.... Bit thin on the mouth, yet probably pretty decent for a wit style beer.. Overall, this is a beer I could drink again... after working out in the yard, after going for a run, after a long day of work...its a nice, wake-me-up beer..
