I noticed that no one has updated a review of The Dish. I had kind of forgot about how nice of an place this is to go out for a good brew and pizza. They have 6 taps, Boulevard Wheat, Pale Ale and Seasonal Selection. Two Bud selections and low and behold, a Deschutes tap! The bottle selection is solid and if you come on a Monday or Tuesday, the prices looked to be about $1 over retail!
The bar has space around it so you don't feel crowded. There are some new places in Liberty but don't forget the solid, well run and inviting The Dish.

Disguised as a Chicago Deep Dish Restaurant, this place has some nice extras. The horseshoe bar has enough seating and TVs for a decent sports bar. A small game room with several video games is tucked in the back.
They only have six taps but that includes Fat Tire, Boulevard Wheat and Guinness- and the real bonus, Goose Island's Honker's Ale. We don't get that much in KC but the Chicago transplant owner insists.
A modest visi-cooler holds almost 70 bottles of great beer- mostly imports. Choices include: ten Belgians such as Chimay, Duvel, Orval and Westmalle Dubbel. Many British brews- Sam Smiths, Youngs and Theakston along with Anchor, Rogue and Unibroue selections.
Bar and waitstaff are all helpful though beer knowledge varies widely. The deep dish is great or make a meal on appetizers. They also promote a decent wine selection.
I'm glad this is one of the closest bars to my house.
Skip the chains along Hwy 152 and try a local original on KC's Northeast side.
