This place is well hidden around one of the main nightlife areas in Bogota.

The only gimmick to this australian pub- as well explained by one of the waitresses, who explained the surprised australian customers' reaction- is that there is still no australian beers offered.

However, the place's atmosphere is commendably appeasable, in a pedestrian dead-end with both outside and inside seating arrangements. The decoration is- obviously- characteristically australian, and the jolly but discrete environment provides it a good 'beer bar' distinction.

Unlike any other place in Bogota, there's also an emphasis on the beer selection on the menu: distinctively divided by regions and countries, despite the offer having only a few absolutely 'worth-while' brews to offer. however, they've made a fantastic attempt on widening the offer and they range from the few quality german imports to the most recent (and most pleasing) canadian offering: Unibroue.
04/06: The Ozy Pub continues to stay ahead of the game, bringing new german imports into the colombian market. the turn this month is for Paulaner. up-rating for quality (as in innovation).

I was also very pleased with the service. they were very careful on customer feedback regarding the beers and the establishment. a big plus was also that- contrary to most cheap arse bars in colombia- they bring along the customary peanuts to cleanse the palate, free of charge.

For a country like Colombia, the atmosphere and selection of this place equate to one of the best to have a drink.

I mussay, my only complaint is the monetary value. for a colombian, it may be a bit expensive at times. but you might as well overlook this- the place is worthwhile.
