On-tap at FFF.

A - Pours a reddish/black color, light off-white head, thin collar.

S - Tart fruity notes, nice level of sour/tart notes, light funk. Reminds me of Lost Abbey Sinners 09, which is a compliment. Alcohol is well-hidden, which is simply impressive.

T - Sour cherries, fruity tartness, touch of oak, some tanginess to it. Has a decent amount of complexity, but I think I prefer the nose of this one. Again, little to no alcohol...good stuff.

M - Medium, soft carbonation, dry tart finish.

O - Another solid sour from Brugge, no doubt. Was pleasantly surprised to find this on-tap at Three Floyds, which was just icing on top of the cake with their other excellent offerings.

A 750ml bottle shared by the brewer. Thanks for this one as well!

A: The pour is amber in color, maybe approaching copper, with a small layer of white foam that quickly dissipates.

S: You definitely get the pickled plums that were added to the barrel. A nice fruity and tart quality overall, and a touch of wine and oak. Maybe a little bit of citrus and a hint of sweetness.

T: Unfortunately, the flavor is note quite as enjoyable as the aroma. There are some of the pleasant fruity notes of the plums and wine, but there is also a fair amount of booze, vinegar, and some acetone.

M: Medium in body with a low to medium level of carbonation.

O: I liked the nose, but there were some serious flaws in the flavor which prevented this from being as enjoyable as the previous incarnation of Diamond King.
