Before there was DeCicco's in Brewster and whenever I didn't want to make the trip to Half Time, this was my beer store. No more. I went in to look for new arrivals and was very disappointed. The store was as hot as hell. Granted, it was hot outside, but how about getting some fans for air circulation? Everything I picked up and checked was at least two months old and some of the bottles were dusty. The guy at the register acted like he was forced to work there for free. The shittiest attitude I've ever seen. When I asked him whether there were any new arrivals, all I got was a quick 'NO'.
Don't bother with this place, either travel the extra few miles and go to DeCicco's or go to the supermarket since you'll probably get the same selection there.

Decent selection. Lots of Macro's and 1 isle of Micro's. somewhat random selection of beers. Good amount of New York beers, some out of state stuff too. Not the best beer store around but it's very convenient if you live in Mahopac (or somers). I don't think it's worth the trip if you're from out of town, but if you live nearby you can certainly find something good to drink. Usually a good selection of Captain Lawrence beers. I'd like to see the IPA's in the fridge and I'd like to see the front window blacked out too. They also have a good bottle redemption service there as well as filling Propane Tanks (which is better than those exchange places because you get more gas).

A pleasant "local" find. Kudos to the prior reviewers for listing and hi-lighting this store, as I had driven past it many times before and didn't even notice that it was there (damn tunnel vision). At first I was bummed as I walked in to the store and saw the small amount of space allocated to craft and imported beers. However, I was pleasantly pleased by the findings here: any place that has two of my favorites---Storm King Stout and Rogue Mocha Porter--- both on the racks and in the fridge can't be bad. As mentioned by another reviewer below, there is certainly BA worth beer to be found here: Vitcory, Stone, Rogue, Southern Tier, Heavy Weight (I wish Perkuno's Hammer came independent of the variety pack) and a number others (I didn't really pay attention to the Belgians, though they were present). This is a clean and friendly place. The staff was friendly. While not really a store for non-"locals" to make a pilgrimage to, if you are traveling past on route 6 do stop in. I plan head back soon.

This place is lacated on the north side of route 6, just a mile or 2 east of Mahopac farms ( a fun place to visit if you have small children) Pleanty of macro cases, 12ers etc in the coolers to the left and on the floor in the center of the mid sized brew stop. The stuuf of interest is located on the mid sized shelving unit to the right side of the store. The Ommegang gang, DFH, Allagash,Bklyn, Sierra, Stone, a few garden variety Belgian imports, typical German, Brits etc etc. No Avery and limited other micros of interest. The kid behind the counter was friendly enough, even if he wouldnt let me brake up any sixers...Decent spot, nothing amazing or hard to find, so not the kind of place to make a pilgrimage to, but you will find drinkable BA friendly beer here.
