Appearance> I must say that I'm a bit impressed. This looks every bit as a fruit beer should. It's got a beautiful rosy glow, medium liveliness. Big white head that dissipates slowly and thick lacing. It has me even wanting to try it... and while I try to review them fairly for the style, I'm not a big fan of the style in general.

Smell> Leads with the fresh cut strawberry nose, but also has grain and alcohol.

Taste>Also, must claim that I'm impressed. This is the second fruit beer that didn't make me want to hurl just a little. While it's sweeter than I prefer to drink, it's great for it's style. There is a nice subtle complexity to the beer, where it goes through moments of sweetness, and tartness to a crisp lageriness, and then to a mellow hang of strawberries.

Mouf> Average. Nuffin fancy.

Drink> Not everyday, and not many, but sure.

Pours light amber with a thin dirty dishwater head.

Smell is quite good with creamy vanilla and strawberry.

Tastes like a blend of those candies that have the wrapper that looks like a strawberry and strawberry ice cream. Sweet.

Smooth body with high drinkability if you like strawberries. A nice summer treat with not a lot of complexity.

First review. Love the bottle, somewhere between a bomber and a regular 12 oz. The smell of this beer is very noticeable, unlike some beers that do not smell like their underlying fruit. This one IS strawberries. Taste was good, but a strong sourness lingered. Not like drinking a lambic. Overall a good fruit beer.

Appearance: high carbonation, 1 inch head, re/orange in color, clear

Smell: strawberries and light toasted malt

Taste: big time strawberries both sweet and tart with a little toasted malt

Mouthfeel: tart and sweet. The sweetness never gets to the cloying level, high carbonation, medium-light body

Overall: This one is a very good fruit beer that screams strawberries. It is both tart and sweet. A great dessert beer, the alcohol is not noticeable. I could have several.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a yellow-orange color with an white head. The aroma is strawberry nothing else. The flavor is the same as the aroma. I get a lot of strawberry notes but nothing else. The beer is just as fruity as the Samuel Smith Organic Raspberry, but doesn't seem to be as well executed. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A. Peachy caramel with pretty nice head. Looks more like wine

S. Holy strawberry Batman! Reminds me of a strawberry faygo. With a hint of honey

T. Strawberries! No malt or hops. Not my favorite. Tastes more like a sweet wine..

M. Fairly fizzy,acidic

O. This "beer" was tastey but didn't quite hit the spot..maybe if it were a higher proof..If I was to get more,I would find a way to cook with it

When I saw this at my local I thouht the only other Strawbeery brew I've sampled was Melbourn Bros, and a I continued to read the labeled this one is still brewed a Melbourn Bros just it's blended and bottled and Sammy Smith's plant. Appears a brilliant copper amber hue with a big off white tan head forms thick with sturdy flowingcarbonatin. Head sticks around for ahile leaving nice chunky scattred lacing clinging to my La Fin du Monde chalice. Aromatics explode like fresh strawberr jam as soon as I cracked the 550 ml bottle. Smells and tastes like a dessert beer, no real hop nose or breadiness just strawberry flowing fruitines. Flavor is solid not toothache sweet but it would best be served after dinner with a dessert. A mild earthiness and mineral water tone appeas in the finish along with the strawberry tartness going on...nicely balanced experince that I don't get from many fruit infused brews. Mouthfeel is medium bodied carbonation going strong but not overly done. Drinkability overall as stated is better in small portions and for the price I can see why, definitely would go over great with the ladies buy one for grandma on Mother's Day.

550ml bottle. A sort of collaboration fruit ale, its component parts brewed in different locations, and brought together for assembly at Tadcaster. I likes me some strawberries, so onwards and upwards!

This beer pours a slightly hazy golden orange amber hue, with three fingers of lazily puffy, and pleasantly foamy off-white head, which leaves some random streaky, sudsy lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.

It smells of softly sweet wheat malt, and, oh, who am I kidding - it was clear straight from the cap pop - fresh, semi-sweet strawberry juice, very much like a Campino candy, and not much else. The taste is consistent, that much is certain - pure strawberry juice, with its alluring balance of mild fruity sweetness and off-setting acidity, a bit of further strawberry jam complexity, all blended seamlessly with an understated, well rounded grainy wheat malt, full stop, and simply so.

The carbonation is quite mild, just a lulling frothiness playing off the pervasive fruit, the body medium-weight, smooth, creamy and, yes, fruity. It finishes more than a tad off-dry, the heady fruitiness rather slowly fading out, yet still begging for a hasty replenishment.

Having had a few strawberry-infused beers, my only usual complaint is the varying cloying sweetness, despite the tasty strawberry component. This beer corrects that imbalance absolutely, and should, if it's not abundantly clear by now, not be consumed if you are anything less than equivocal on the single-fruit guest star.
