If a single beer defines the style this one does.
Deeply dark but with glints of mahogany in the right light, and is noticeably clear. A tall off white head sits atop at the start buy sinks quickly.
Aromas of charred bread and treacle on cold porridge. May I have som more please?
Flavors follow - charred grains along side more molasses, chalky and sweet with a scorched caramel thing that works.
Mouthfeel is light and mildly creamy despite the flavor bomb going on in your mouth. Hop bitterness comes in late but mixes with the dark grain character in harmony.
Finish is surprisingly clean with lingering taste of gypsum and burnt toast.

Phenomenal stout.
Coffee and raisins on the nose.
Taste is caramel, dried fruit, and bready malt.
Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy.
Impressively low ABV for such a complex and rewarding flavor profile.
I wish there were more like this one.

The ultimate winter stout for me. Flavorable and carries just the right amount of weight for drink ability

A very sessionable oat stout that has a light chocolatey flavor and aroma without being too sweet or too bitter

12oz bottle with a code on the neck, opened 10-13-23.
2 finger sand colored head with great retention - settles in as a thick cap.
Dark brown body. Early and late lacing.
Light roast, dark fruit, molasses, gingerbread, cola...lots going on in a very sessionable stout.
Medium body, low plus carbonation and mildly creamy mouthfeel. Lengthy and semi-sweet finish.
Very Good.

Black with dense, thick khaki head, amazing retention, thick bands of lace
Raisin and earthy cocoa aroma
Tastes like it smells
Medium-heavy body, appropriate carbonation
Archetypal, but US versions of the style have left it behind
