Very dark in color with no light through glass. Medium head but not lasting long and with no noticeable lacing. Smell is a little sweet, then smoky chocolate. Taste is also smoky with a hint of chocolate or coffee. Not very complex as expected for a Porter but it may add to its drinkability. Mouthfeel is medium but a little acidic on the perimeter of the tongue. Overall a good beer.

From a bottle to a pint glass.

A: pitch black with two fingers of thick kaki foam. Moderate lace on the glass as the head fades.

S: lots of coffee with some malts and smoke in the back ground.

T: follows the smell well with coffee and toffee flavors and a hint of malts.

M: medium to heavy with lasting flavor. Easy drinking.

O: everything that was said about this beer was right. Worth the wait and satisfying till the last sip. Try it!

Pours a nice clear deep chocolate brown with a thin layer of white head. Great retention, looks fantastic after the pour.

Smells like a great light/medium roasted coffee with some hints of cocoa and smoke. Some sweetness is present with tinges of nuts.

Tastes follows up on the nose with an addition of extra flavour. coffee, cocoa and the presence of nuts is reminiscent of amaretto. Lots of flavours perfectly mixed.

Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Very smooth and a bit slick on the tongue while remaining refreshing.

Quite an impressive porter, complex with great flavour and nose. It's a bit thin for my personal taste but that won't stop me from hopefully having it again!
