Pours a beautiful copper orange with a big foamy white head.

The nose isn't very intriguing. Grassy notes, bready malt, yeast. Smells like a pale ale.

First sip and all I can think is "Yep, this is British." Very crisp and twangy. Tea bitterness and grassy notes. Bread and cracker malt with a yeast characteristic like the nose. The hops here only offer bitterness; I'm not getting any complexity out of them, maybe a slight lemon-lime feel that is slightly sour.

It's a refreshing beer but not what I like in IPAs. Tastes more like a crisp pale ale to me. As far as an English Style IPAs though, it's a good one.

I was expecting more. It just kind of tasted like Becks or some other generic European lager. I'll stick with their Oatmeal Stout or Nut Brown Ale.

I agree with previous posts about the "lack" in this brew. However, there is an unmistakable pleasant aspect of this beer. While it does have a bitter quality to it - it doesnt detract from the experience.
This isnt a beer you would want to have 2 or 3 of in one sitting - but... to cleanse the palate a bit - this would do the trick well.
I really like it -
So...up yours (literally!) - as in drink up : o)

Sour & lacking depth, but feels like you're drinking history. Thin -- especially if you've been drinking a lot of American big hops -- but still good. Somehow more than the sum of its parts.
