Poured from a 550ml very dark brown bottle.
Pours a dark deep reddish brown color. Good head to start, but doesn't stick around long and very nice lacing.
Aroma has a nice sweetness to it with malts and nutty smells, almonds or walnut. There is also a very faint barely detectable aroma similar to dark chocolate. Some buttery aromas as well, lots of stuff going on here.
Has a very nice taste to it. Roasted malts with hop bitterness on the finish. Some nice nut flavors in there too, with a caramel sweetness. It has a smooth mouthfeel, feels well balanced. Very drinkable.
Overall this is a very good brew. Very nice aromas, nice balanced taste. I would recommend this to anyone.
