Now this smells sweet. Sweet slick malts dominate, doesnt even smell like a stout at all. Lots of creaminess and sweet lactose. Almost reminds me of a milk stout.
The flavor, is well a British take on a Black Ale. Super sweet plums, thick lactose sweetness, and a bit of a tingle from the carbonation. I love how the British malts really make the bitterness go away. There is a touch of bitterness, but its not a bad thing.
This thing is drinkable, and feels slick and sweet.
