A - Very hazy in color with just a thin layer of head that settles to a mild lace ring. Huh it looks old.
S - Also a clue that it's old very faint if any actual apricot flesh, some wheat base, and sweet malts.
T - Makes up for the smell 100%. Very sweet apricot taste balanced with some sweet malts and mild hops. It doesn't seem to have much wheat but it's there too. Love it.
M - Very crisp easy going fruit beer with light to medium body.

Overall I would pick it up again to drink it side by side with the cherry. Great fruit beer.

Instant "wow" upon first sniff and then a bigger "WOW" upon first sip. This is like drinking fresh, crisp, sweet apricots perfectly in season. Reminiscent of an English Perry with more freshness, sweetness and bite. The color is apricot in hue (obviously right?), the liquid flows nicely into the Spigelau austrian crystal beer snifter I used to serve this gem of a brew. If you are into fruit brews, lambics, ciders or just want to try something new and delicious, Sam Smith is your boy. Not overly sweet or overly fruity...great Sunday sipper.

Pours a clear, copper/gold color. 3/4 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of apricot, sweet malt, slight pale malt, and a hint of caramel malt. Fits the style of a Fruit / Vegetable beer. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of strong apricot, sweet malt, slight pale malt, and a hint of hop. Overall, another Sam. Smith fruit beer that tastes exactly like the main fruit. Not exactly a well-rounded beer, but the fruit flavors and aromas are immaculate.
