22 ounce bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly clear very dark reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of dark roasted coffee, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, dark bread, brown sugar, cream, light nuttiness, herbal, and and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted/bready malt, coffee/lactose, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of dark roasted coffee, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, dark bread, brown sugar, cream, light nuttiness, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, dark bread, brown sugar, cream, light nuttiness, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/roasted/bready malt, coffee/lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and slightly bready/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice coffee milk stout. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roasted/bready malt, coffee/lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Date July 4, 2015, Batch 3 Bottle 16/78. Pours a dark brown with clear edges and a foamy off white slight beige head. Smell of espresso, lactose, sweet roasted malt, and choclate. Taste is of milk sugar, light coffee, roasted malt, and vanilla. Has a light mouth feel and light to medium body, very smooth and drinkable.
