Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass.

A very creamy tan off white colored head hits, nearly four fingers deep with a slow settling cap to about two fingers. Rests on a somewhat opaque but nice red amber body, nearly clear, see through, but a hint of cloud. Real nice looking here some lacing but not a lot.

Hop angle on the nose hints with some dankness, mild citrus, and a great soft biscuit chewy sweet backbone. A near 50 50 mix of citrus sensing hop and chewy malt graham cracker, nicely balanced, hop nose and malt sweet.

Wow is this every a creamy hoppy brew. Dense creamy and millky body explodes with pine and citrus hop bitter. Oily finish compliments with a sweet malt aftertaste, not accentuating the hops. Finish lingers classicaly with hops on and on. Malt body gives some thick depth to this unlike some other DIPAS that are all about the hops.

It's a great beer I really enjoy it, it's not a hop forward brew totally, and for that in the great DIPA realm I am sure others would rank it lower, but I love this malt sweetness complimenting and taking a stand. I really like this beer and it hits all the characters so nicely for me.

750 mL capped bottle picked up at Franklin's 10th anniversary party. Served in a Franlin's pint (take that Thorpe429).

Pours a clearish, well carbonated dark copper with a retentive, frothy cream head. Thick rings of web like lacing. Sweet, malt forward aroma with a pine and resin hop finish. Flavor is similar, malt forward, robust caramel body with a pulpy, resiny finish. I assume these bottles are the same batch that was on draft a month ago and I probably would have enjoyed this much more then. Medium thick, chewy and bready body with a dry, bitter and bready finish. Pleasant, not my favorite Franklin's DIPA, but I enjoy the variety of their DIPAs.
