I dropped in to this place for the first time this week. Don't let the name "The Londoner Restaurant" fool you. I've been by this place many times, but always ignored it because I wasn't looking for a "restaurant" but more of a bar. The Londoner is more of a bar and not a restaurant. The beer list is excellent with an emphasis on UK beers. I was turned off, however, by the smoke. I don't usually care if a place accepts smoking or not, but I definitely noticed it the other night, and there was so much that I would think twice about going in this place again, although the beer selection might sway me otherwise.

I stopped in for a quick pint while in Dallas on business.
The Londoner has quite an authentic and aesthetic atmosphere. I won't even try to describe it other than to say it's as good and most pubs in England and makes you feel as if you're there. And there's lots to do. They have dart boards, a pool table and lots of TVs that show soccer (I happened to walk in just in time to see Man U drop three points which made me happy as an Arsenal supporter).
The beer selection is a bit better than most English or Irish pubs but a far cry from any decent beer bar. They have the usual European macros, SNPA and a couple of locals. I'd like to see more locals.
The Londoner is a real gem and well worth a visit.

I really like the Londoner if only because it's the best place in my neighborhood where I can have a good beer and very good fish and chips. The place looks like a pub inside, which is good, even earning plaudits from an English friend who visited.
The beer selection is not terribly impressive although the British staples are there. This is not a place one would go to discover something new, rather it's a place to go to have a good time.
The service is fine. Like most bars it can be crowded and difficult to reach the bar during busy hours but that is to be expected.

Located on the southeast corner of Beltline and Midway, the Londoner offers approximately 24 beers on tap and about as many in bottles. Food is usually very good with staples such as fish and chips and shepherds pie along with some surprise standouts such as the chorizo and jack cheese stuffed jalapenos and excellent cheesy Hampton fries. Prices are reasonable though service can sometimes be a bit slow. Parking is generally readily available, though the lot can get full late at night when the place is usually the most crowded (you can park in the separate lot directly behind if needed, though).

Was in town on business, and was told to check it out "if you like beer."
Went on Monday and Tuesday and was impressed that there was a decent crowd for so early in the week, at 7PM no less. A "variety," too... college age, middle age, you name it. If I could have, I would have gone back the other two nites I was in town.
Service was prompt and friendly. Beer was fresh, and the selection was impressive. 24 beers on tap ... the handful I tried were fresh, and a proper temperature. Bottled selection was mostly macros, with a couple Belgian brews I didn't get a chance to try. Food was also very good, and reasonably priced.
I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

You could easily drive by this place and not realize it was there or that it is a bar. It has an old farm house look in the shape of a U. Two stories but the upstairs is for reserved parties only. Nice patio as you walk to the door. Inside is typical pub style with lots of dark woods on the floor, walls and ceiling. Furniture has that old feel to it like it came over from England. Beer selection is typical pub stuff, brit pub stuff to be exact: Fuller's, Guinness, Boddington's, Smithwick's, etc. Beer is always fresh when I am here. Food is Fish n Chips and Shephards's Pie and it is pretty good. Plenty of space, big screen TV turned to a futball match, and laid back crowd. If you can find it, well worth the stop.

We stopped by the Londoner as part of a pub-crawl during the Bluebonnet Brewoff. I've been to the other establishments in Addison many 'o time, and didn't realize the Londonor was right there off of Midway. It's a quaint bar, and the manager is from London so the accent fit. They had a decent selection of beers on tap and the service was good. Big screen TV had a soccer game tuned in. Relaxed atmosphere (they have 2 dogs that hang out, one of which will fetch pool balls out of the pockets for you). If you are in the area it is worth a stop!
