Pours darker than most red ales. I don't get much of a wheat ale in the taste.

Pours a half finger of head on a dark brown body.
The aroma is candy and fruit.
The taste is sweet and spicy, good, fruity (raspberry and lemon).
The texture is soft with a medium body.
Enjoyable.

Described as a red wheat ale, it appears darker than red. The big hop presence promised by the menu is underwhelming. This is still malt forward, twangy, with some hop bitterness for balance. Not particularly wheaty, either.

On draft and nitro at Pratt Street Alehouse, Had one of each
Very dark almost brown, a good head on both pours, nice lacing , full mouthfeel
There is no sense of wheat in the taste , malt base stands up to the hops; as expected the Nugget bitter balanced by the Citra
Overall a fine example of well-hopped red ales
