Had on cask at Churchkey in Washington, DC.
a - Pours a dark amber color with one finger of white head. Nice froth.
s - Smells of bready malts, nuts, toasted malts, and a bit sour.
t - Taste follows the nose. Smooth bready malts, and a little bit of sourness.
m - Smooth medium body with no carbonation.
d - An ok English brown ale, but the sourness seemed a little weird/out of place. Wouldn't really look to have again.

Back on tap at Pratt Street Ale House...
A: Deep brown, red highlights. Little white head and little retention.
S: Lightly roasted malts. Carmel and nuts.
T: Slightly sweet blend of roasted nuts and carmel. Some bready yeast notes.
M: Smooth, slightly creamy. good carbonation.
D: Good, light flavored. Prefered the standard Nut Borwn to this slightly sweet version.

Had on cask at Friscoe's Grille, Columbia, MD.
A- Nice deep brown, very dark, with a thin tan head.
S- Malty sweet, little hops.
T- A very good Brown Ale, malty, but not too sweet. The cask allowed the flavor to linger.
M- Smooth, well done, medium on the tongue.
D- A decent brown ale, I could enjoy many of these.

Appearance: clear brown color with a 1/2" head that breaks apart quickly. No lacing develops.
Smell: somewhat bland caramel candy sweetness is all that is detectable.
Taste: caramel, roasted nuts, light bitterness, and ripe plums are the main flavor components. Mildly malty. Finish is a bit dry.
Mouthfeel: smooth from start to finish. Medium bodied. Brief caramel and roasted nut aftertaste.
Drinkability: easy to drink session beer. Flavor is a bit mild, but this is brewed as a pure all afternoon session brew. Worth giving this a try.

Large pint glass in Fells location. Comes out a deep dark brown with a fingerfull of creamy head. Great retention and lacing. Very light herbal hops, mostly some roasted malt aroma. Then again, we were sitting quite close to the fryolater.
Great brown ale here, very close in flavor to the Toucan that was on a few months back. Nutty, biscuity, full flavored brew. Medium bodied, but went down like a cola. Very drinkable and worth a few while losing badly during quiz night.

This pours like a dark cola with a "Guiness' like foamy head. The smell is a burnt malt aroma thats not bad,but I hoped for more from a brown ale. The taste is a little thin, but there is a real nutty malt filled flavor. The m/f is medium and the flavors are pretty well balanced. This is a good brew that I'd have again and urge you to have. Cheers.

This is a pint glass serviing from Oliver's new Coventry line of ales. The ale is chilled.
Appearance: The ale has a deep brown color. Ruby red hints emerge when light shines through.
Smell: The ale has a balanced aroma that trends towards malts.
Taste: Not sure if it is the yeast or the malts, but this ale has an unusual taste. Slightly sweeter than an normal British ale, but without a strong biscuity backbone. The higher abv is well hidden.
Mouthfeel: The malts are pleasant (and make up for little hop activity).
Drinkability: While a bit too high for a session, this is an interesting ale.
